Tyron Woodley going to show Ben how to fight aggressive

Hopefully, the UFC can stop this Boxing fight from happening.

In the scenario where Ben Askren still has a contract with the UFC, Dana White absolutely HAS TO use his veto powers in order to stop this event before it ever begins.

I was sick (and I still am sick) of hearing all of the Boxing fans say that Floyd Mayweather Jr. annihilated and TOYED with McGregor in their Boxing fight.

Needless to say, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was always going to stop McGregor in a Boxing fight. They were in a Boxing fight and Mayweather Jr. has never lost a Boxing fight (at least, never in a professional setting).

The very first Boxing fight that McGregor ever had was against one of the greatest of all time (Floyd Mayweather Jr.). That's a lot to ask of ANYONE.

In a boxing match, I don't even think Askren is capable of throwing a punch even for a professional mma fighter.

There's more chance of one of these Paul asswipes turning up in the UFC than there is the UFC stopping this fight.

20 pages of this shit? I couldn't give a shit about this "fight."

Do you know if Ben Askren still has an active contract with the UFC or not? Supposedly, there was another user inside this thread that said that Ben Askren still has his contract with the UFC.

He had an interview with Ariel today

He said he's still under contract with the UFC but they gave him the OK to take this fight.

If the UFC wanted to, or were able to stop it, I don't think it would have gotten to this point. These Paul fuckers make money. They bring in an audience. Mayweather wanted a part of it. You don't think Dana does? Paul beating Askren creates an in for the UFC.

EDIT Brodie clarifies.

Why would the UFC do that? Have Dana White and Sean Shelby gone completely insane?

Askren has a chance to redeem himself by convincingly beating Paul.

Yea the UFC still owns him. Contracts don’t go away just because you retire. Miesha Tate is still under ufc contract for example. UFC okayed him fighting Paul, which is bizarre to me.

Tbf he got criticism for not fighting a "real fighter", so I guess he's slowly working his way up in this clown show

Didn't want the bad press probably.

The UFC didn't want the bad press? Depending on the result of the Boxing fight between Jake Paul and Ben Askren, a gargantuan amount of bad press MIGHT rain down on top of the UFC in the next few months.

At the risk of what? Damaging and ruining the reputation of MMA fights? Remember that the sport of MMA is brand-new.

It seems SO WRONG to me. Everything about this thread seems so wrong to me.

Askren is about to get embarrassed...again. I've never seen a fighter so eager to ruin their legacy.
When did he get embarrassed before ? against one of the best fighter in the world ?
Let me guess you think Conor was embarrassed last week as well... or Overeem vs Ngannou ?
When top fighters fight there is a loser most of the time and that's it...no embarassement...

I am genuinely curious about the outcome of this match. Askren with some of the worst UFC striking vs a youtube star who practices.
