Hey guys,

Just released the first part of the Advanced Striking series on Kindle. The whole series is available as one PDF from Fights Gone By: Classic Fights and Finishes, but the kindle series will be divided into smaller parts and formatted into a flickbook style.

Forrest Griffin suffered much the same fate in their rematch, though he had no other way in which he could fight. Shogun also used his overhand as a lead against Mark Coleman.

Seems to me one of your heavies with Shogun performing the Russian Hook a la your Advanced Striking Blog. Intense.

I'd like to see Lyoto fight someone else than Jones. Even a Rashad rematch would be highly watched by everyone, the outcome not a certainty by any means...

You have a highly detailed review, accurate, of how Machida got severely hook-clocked by Jones, including notably feet placement. Without revisiting the detail, this was Shogun-like sloppiness in boxing form on Machida's part. The poor use of the non=punching hand is caused by the poor quality use of the punching hand.

I stand more or less square in front of my opponent's at times, not to be blase, but i have previously mentioned the simpely (who started this spelling?) karate solution. The one caveat is that you must absolutely be devastatingly good @ kihon-type moves, then they will often work like a charm....
