Throwback Jack Hermansson vs Roman Dolidze

Yea the power that he’s shown recently (in multiple limbs) is key, otherwise we would just see guys implement the Paul Craig Plan, refusing any and all invitations to clinch/grapple and jab their way to 30-27, which is what I thought Jack would do.

I knew Jack would be faster and pick him apart a bit, but I thought Roman would catch him with something on the feet and hurt him.

Never expected Roman to own Jack on the ground so easy though.

If Jack had power this outcome might've been different though.
Roman has look improved all around and I guess we'll see his ceiling soon sir.

I had high hopes for Jack but i kinda just see him floating around the top 10-15 range now. Will still root for the guy.

I bet on him when I saw the line but to be honest I was planning to walk it back as I watched more tape and fortunately just forgot.

He’s powerful but pretty slow. And his TDs and TDD aren’t very good. This is gonna make a statement to wrestlers though. He wrecked an elite college wrestler’s leg and then turned Hermansson (who handled Jacare and has notable sub wins on his record) into a pretzel. Really not sure how many guys are gonna want to fuck with him on the mat at this point. He’s got too much power to be the middleweight Paul Craig, but I do wonder how he beats guys like Strickland.

Dolidze vs Brunson is interesting IMO.

I was going through the top 15 and he has a lot of rough matchups. Strickland (last fight excluded) is usually an excellent gameplanner and his jab-and-parry approach will almost certainly be too much for Dolidze. After last time, I'm hoping Strickland's ego forces him to test to BJJ on the ground against Roman lol

He could be a tough fight for Khamzat, and that’s why it won’t happen. Their golden boy is getting that gift wrapped, cherry-pick treatment since the Burns fight, they cant risk him almost losing again, especially by a guy who likes leg locks.

Romans fighting style is actually working against him here, if you’re the UFC imagine if you book this fight and then Roman tears Khamzats ACL/MCL in a kneebar and he’s out for a year+ and never the same, that loses them more money than Dolidze will probably make them in his whole career. Remember this is a business, not a sport.

It's Wednesday already, how exactly did Chimaev respond to the call out? KC chirping up the MW tree while continuing to miss weight at WW to avoid MW.

its weird for me. dude is better on the mat than jack which is exciting and impressive, but the fact jack is a better striker makes dolidze a hard sell. its not like there was a huge size difference like with action man

It was a 10 day notice and a tough weight cut though(he was 100kg)

Agree. I had a prior engagement and had to watch the fights later and was almost tempted to FFWD because it started exactly how I was afraid it would — the boring herky jerky (but quick) striking that Jack used to decision Curtis. And like you, I thought that Jack would avoid submissions on the ground. But damn, Dolidze was attacking constantly. He’s not even that explosive down there, he just seems to be like glue on everything he grabs.

LOL too much hate

I would favor Jack in a rematch. He was winning but I was surprised on how offensive Roman was from his back.

Said that... Khamzat takes him down and mauls him.

Not only was he glue, but he was chaining subs like DC chains takedowns.
Every time Jack would defend a sub Roman was on to another.

He's not explosive but but he never stopped moving from sub to sub, it was actually a beautiful thing to watch sir.

It was a okay fight, great finish.
I saw that Roman called out Khamzat afterwards, most likely that fight won't happen but if it does, Khamzat schools this guy.

I also found out not only did this guy steal a girl from a 135 pound fighter but is also managed by Ali.
I don't rate jack as a good wrestler, and he took him down, i don't rate Jack as a good striker and he gave hi hard time.

Another thing, he kinda looks like a larger Belal.

Also fook Ali, so no to this fight.

He bangs that hot girl Chienne so respect. He lookedlike shit outside ofground work against Jack.

Roman now #8. KC could probably get a TS at MW for beating a guy just entering the rankings. My guess is that Khamzat wont speak Roman's name until Dolidze has a different fight signed.
