Just rewatched round 2 a bunch of times.
- First 2,5 minutes: close striking where both men land pretty big shots, Hafez even lands a pretty big hook that has Jack stumbling back briefly. Saying that either man won this first 2,5 minutes is nonsensical imo, as close as it can get, and if you were to give it to someone it would be a matter of 2/3 punches.
- 30 seconds: Jack pressures Hafez to the cage and lands a monster 5/6 punch combo to the body, then lands another big hook to the body, Hafez shoots for the takedown, gets stuffed, kneed to the body, Hafez gets up throws a 1-2 that misses, throws another 1-2 that decently connects. Hafez again engages the wrestling and gets Jack down for the final
- 2 minutes: where Hafez mainly lies on top and tries for a sloppy choke.
So yeah, 2,5 minutes of even striking until Jack secures the advantage with the big combo until he gets taken down and remains on bottom for 2 minutes. So def not a convincing round for either man honestly, personally I would score the second round a draw. I have a hard time scoring a big 5 punch combo over 2 minutes of control time, or vice versa. If I had to pick I would go with Jack because the combo was more significant than the control time.
My personal scoring was 29-28 for Jack. 10-9 Hafez, 10-10, 10-8 Jack. Not too confident on the 10-8 tho, havent rewatched the third round yet.
