Jacare's 8 fight contract

He can fight 8 times before he is 40.
His style suits an old man too, hes a grappler.

He beat the p4p greatest fighter ever Moose. His last 3 fights against contenders or legends have been performance worthy.

Jacare gets a shot because he won't get mauled and the other guy wont get mauled and they both get to continue as contenders.

Jacare is not going to get paid a fortune to submit nobodies at Bellator MW.

Because they basically want to lock him up for the remainder of his career?

It's called... locking him up.

I'm quite sure the UFC gave themselves ways out. But, Jacare is stuck. Ask Conor about that.

What does the Y-axis on that scale represent? Like the actual numbers; what units are they, and what is it measuring? "25 what?"

Everybody in this thread is crazy, I'm pretty TC dosen't mean why is JAcare fighting at 37, but why would he sign an 8 Fight Deal. That's crazy.

According to fightpredictor.com,this graph shows at what age fighters are at their peaks and valleys. Note the huge drop-off after age 37.

You physically peak around 28. He has been past his physical prime for quite a while but he has the technique, experience and some of the best BJJ in the world to make up for it. He also hasn't taken a ton of damage which helps. 37 isn't ancient if you're well conditioned and healthy. Few people fall into this category due to milage is the issue.

He could be finished with it by 40 and with his skill set I wouldn't shocked if he was the champion either. Some fighters are lasting longer because they are training smarter.

Because it will probably keep him from being able to renegotiate for more money for the rest of his career.

It's a cost controlling measure.

How much money is it for? If no one knows for sure, what's out best guess?

Aren't most of the top 10 middleweights over 35?

When I see a fighter sign a contract that includes so many fights, I see a fighter who is not confident about becoming a champion. Why would you sign such a long contract if you think you will be champ in 2 or 3 fights and thus be in position to negotiate a much better contract?
To make sure he retires in the ufc and not somewhere else
