Izzy is acting so different this time

Just hope he doesn’t go for a point fighting pitter patter snooze fest. Hope he gets knocked out in the first.

Exactly! Before every wrestling match, even if I had beaten the dude already, I always felt like I was going to shit myself from nerves. But the moment the whistle blew, it was over with.

Alex is cool calm and confident. He also has few groupies, and tag alongs away from the cameras which means he's very focused. I dont see Alex losing unless it's by points.

Yeah, I'd say he shows the superficial signs of being shook, but more importantly, seems to have a good mentality of recognizing the challenges going into the fight.
 
He's aware that Alex has bragging rights because of the 2 wins..

Izzy is confident but he's not delusional like Conor. He understands nothing he says matters because Alex beat him. He's just a very aware and intelligent MMA fighter
 
He seems focused. He has to, because Perreria is a huge dangerous guy who's ducking his real weight class (LHW, or even HW) to be able to bully smaller guys.

I'm sure he is nervous af and this fight is extremely personal and meaningful for him.

We all know how petty he is.

This guy hated Robert Whittaker because of a Futurama meme, imagine how he feels about a guy that beat him twice including a brutal KO that included taunting.
 
Well his bread ad butter is stand up and for the first time in mma he's in with someone who can match him (both having strengths and weakness in the standup).

He's going to have to be on point as he know Alex can put him away with one shot (pretty much anyone 185-205).

I want Alex to win but really just hope for an exciting fight.

This is true. Dude is ice cold. I think Izzy just knows he has a serious task at hand. I think he knew a lot of his past opponents had nothing for him, so he was confident enough to fuck around. With Alex he knows he has to be 100% focused or he's getting his lights put out again.

Logically thinking, you would be shook or have nerves sparring let a lone fighting? Fighting a guy that beat me twice and slept me so bad, I needed oxygen has got to be nerve racking.

Izy is stepping up. He sure as fuck could have can crushed like other Champs but he's fightING for legacy.

Not a fan but mad respect.
 
Well he would be lying to himself to say he's totally unworried to fight a man who already knocked him out before. He has to be approaching it differently for that reason: with all the other guys he fought at 185 he probably told himself before the fight 'i'm too good, they can't touch me' and in some cases that was true, but in this case if he tries to say Alex can't touch him he'd just be lying to himself.

maybe, he has read our threads about hyping up his fights but they end up being lackluster. So he wants to just let the fight in the cage speak for itself.

tbh, it looks like both are just serious and know this is a legacy defining, career defining fight.

if izzy wins he can honestly just retire and say he did fight and beat every MW contender.

I like Izzy and I want him to win. I should have expanded this in my OP but in no way am I calling Izzy scared or terrified. I think he is a tad nervous but that's not a bad thing. He knows he's in for a fight and he will prepare accordingly. He turned down a movie role to prepare for this fight and that shows how focused he is.
GSP said he was nervous before some of his biggest fights. I just wanted to highlight the difference between this fight and his past fights. For the most part, Izzy hasn't really struggled too much with MWs. He know he'll struggle here and he is prepared for that.
Rambling but I wanted to make clear: No way am I disrespecting Izzy.
