Bad parenting cuts across all races/backgrounds/income levels. Where race does come into play is the way different races are treated when it comes to police interactions and punishment afterwards. None of that makes a difference if values aren't taught at home. Understanding right from wrong and impulse control are needed more than anything you just mentioned.

If you wanted to stop this sort of stuff you would have to have a system that didnt intentionally target the poor. Shit look at how the War on Drugs broke many families over low levels of possession for Marijuana. We cant intentionally make life harder for the poor, then expect the next generations to improve their lives. We have to decrease the wealth gap, and improve education if we want to see societal change. Other wise it will continue to be a perpetual cycle in the race to the bottom.

I like how people can view an obvious case of horrible parenting and pull it back into the abstract and make it about the drug war.

There’s lots of single mothers out there, the majority of them don’t have toddlers that are actual thugs
