Opinion I've been saying it starts at home.

If you want to discuss homicide specifically, here's my position.

Prosecute the symptoms to the fullest extent of the law but don't ignore the root disease. Address WHY it's a problem and maybe, just maybe, listen to what sociologists have to say about it.

I'm saying absolutely lock up murderers but don't just do that and call it a day.
1. Absent fathers / welfare state (linked problem)
2. Shitty schools
3. No respect for law enforcement (become pervasive in recent times thanks to the BurnLootMurder movement, media and leftist politicians)

That about sums it up.

There's no point addressing empty waffle... pointing fingers and saying "do better" achieves nothing. Nor am I interested in personal anecdotes. The issue is systemic and therefore so must be the solutions.

I've provided you with examples and tried and tested methods.

You say things like the issue is systemic and your solution is to throw more tax payer dollars at people-without ever holding them accountable for anything.

Fantasy world bro. Hard work, determination, and attitude change is what's going to help them.

Fantasy world is convincing yourself that you are just going to wish "hard work, determination and attitude change" into existence.. without making any substantive changes.

Absolutely empty waffle equivalent to thoughts and prayers... the conservative 'solution' to every problem

How about absent fathers as the result of savage over policing since the day they were freed? I have no idea how absent fathers are linked to the "welfare state" especially considering how pathetic the social safety net is in the States.

Better schools would be good.

You can blame police history for a good portion of the "bad attitude".

Man, you would have hated MLK.

If looked through the filter of the left/right paradigm it does seem like a dead horse. The juice has been sucked dry. We should be simping for the Ukraine or something Dave Chappelle said.
I know I know he's was only suppose to be a talked about when Dems were trying to elect Biden, or to be used by the government in my own country for activist histrionics. However due to my uppity nature I desynced from those priorities since they actually don't serve the interests of the people they purport to empower.
1. Over the past years, with the time I tithe to my immediate community and the greater Yoruba/Benin community in the GTA I've had dealings with their leadership and have taken issue with some of their activities and public statements that has had an objectively negative resonance on my immediate community and cultural group. We had strong words.
2. A friend of mine had to be taken off life support. Because of the covid strictures only five people could be present to say goodbye as he passed on to Glory (his father, his stepdad, his mom, his daughter's mom, and his daughter) whereas me and his brother and their cousin and nieces had to stay in the waiting room. They were extremely emotional and I tried to console them by telling that it can't be helped but that they should know that they are making a special type of sacrifice because it's a public emergency and we all have to do our part...Guess what happened not two days later? Thousands upon thousands of people decided there was no lockdown anymore because BLM, in Canada, gave the clarion call.
The organizer had actually called and emailed asking if I could help. "I'm like aren't we suppose to be on lockdown?" She didn't seem too worried. She was all excited because CTV was sticking a miv in her face, the Toronto Star was sticking mics in her face, all our local newspapers and news channels were blowing up their phone and "donations are coming in like the taps was left on On" . Justin "Blackfacekillah" Tudeau even made sure he got in on some of that juice, by publicly kneeling. Him. Kneeling against racism....
All the Stay-the -fuck-homies, and Grandma-Protectors congregated in the downtown of my city in one of the biggest gathering ever in our towns history, to mourn a dead junkie. At a time when the act of going outside made you worse than fentanyl-dealing-:eek::eek::eek:phile tens of thousand of people can congregate 'cause covid is such an intelligent virus it can tell the difference between what was termed by The Science "essential protests" and "being selfish."
3. They are the the biggest group that is suppose to be on the vanguard of African / African American concerns. Which coincidently enough happens to mirror my concerns in certain ways. Therefore they are on y radar and are often subject to commentary and criticism.
Strange huh?
Now you answer me this:
Why the fuck do you care? How does me bringing up Floyd and BLM move your inner detective to say: "There's something mighty peculiar about a black dude talking about Black Lives Matter and the people they choose as their mascot. I'm gonna have to get to the bottom of this."
Even if I wasn't black, it's still a puzzle to me as to why the fuck it would be an issue to you?
The Secular Takferi's and the Sherderati don't seem to have problem spamming him or other historical travails of African/Black in North America when it comes to asserting the inherent moral primacy of their Leftwinggud/rightwing baad thing that is the sum of their perceptional capacity.
Maybe I should be put a disclaimer "LEFTWING GUD/RIGHTWUNG BAAAD" to keep your mudflaps from quivering in the future?
Please advise.

Damn @So Fresh you took it right in the jewels there

Well first of all I didn’t know you were black and don’t really see how that’s important. Second you seem emotionally invested, which may explain why you keep bringing it up, cause you’re likely traumatized by these events, which may make it less strange. Third, being emotionally invested often clouds your judgement (which is very clear from bringing up BLM at every instance). This may also explain why you believe in these CT’s about BLM, as them doing pogroms.

So my advice is to maybe find someone to talk to about these trauma’s cause it’s clear you didn’t really process these events very well. Anyway good luck with that.

Abortion is only killing "babies" in the terms of certain religious definition. So don't have one or if you are a male, wait until marriage.

I never said open boarders but go on with that dull narrative, especially about the narco-state that the US is partially responsible for creating.

Plus, I was lightly joking on what a small group of people find so important to focus on this country versus more important things that the majority would like to address, such as helping to create positive environments for children to be raised than "killing babies" which is defined as "a very young child, especially one newly or recently born" which again, is not what legal abortion is/was.
<Y2JSmirk>
OK not very clear.

No, just stop with the welfare and lazy people will stop having babies just to get an extra check. Raising minimum wage will just contribute to inflation and eliminate entry level jobs. And of course allow law enforcement to do their jobs so people will once again fear the consequences of breaking the law.

I love how for the first time in many years wage increases are looking like they will be higher than corporate profits and it's seen as the harbinger of doom.

Its really no use at this point, the WR left will continue to blame the police that are tasked with having to deal with the situation every day and night. Or they'll blame a lack of federal or state money. When theres really no lack its just that it makes no difference to throw money at what is essentially an issue of inner-city culture and sentiments.

The nuclear family is completely broken in these cities, and you ultimately cannot help those that have no concept of resiliency. They've been told they're being actively oppressed by an entire system, and the solution is government handouts and voting for democrats

Pretty on point IMO and the funny thing is that there are more than few 'basic' lefty 'Doggers as well, who are still trying to overcomplicate the fix for the issue.
It doesn't get much more simple than Family, Work and Education and only in that particular order.
Of course, it's much more comforting to talk big, seek culprits everywhere else, cry again for more funds etc.
Things work better when they're not complicated and honestly, the poor and the uneducated do not need some shit-talking social scientist to put these mascots on a pedestal to be catered by the system that doesn't fix the status quo and only makes them clients for the welfare state with the same gloomy outcomes that were always there.
But yeah, reality is a hard pill to swallow for the many.
