ITT: Things that traumatized you as a child

When I was 8 or 9, I took a break from plying Nintendo and made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My dad was in the living room and obviously thought I was my mom and said, "Are you going to suck my wiener tonight or what?"

I've never told anyone that before. I sat in my room and stared at the wall for days. Told my mom I didn't hear what he said.

End of thread. We have a Weiner!!!

Being told I was going to hell for near about everything...

Not all that often but I did get told that by a man of cloth once, that was a bit jarring at the time.

Lol weiner.he must have been a suburban dad from the 50's.

The movie IT traumitized me as kid, i would always get nervous when i was near a drain.

Alien abductions. I really was scared they'd come and take me away at night.

Also, the KKK and racism in general. It would scare me that there are people who would hurt you or kill you for having a different skin color.

I grew up with this too.
That and Max und Moritz

-I remember after I saw that movie tremors I was scared they were going to pop out of the ground and get me, so I would only walk on concrete and pavement.

-that scene in the peewee movie with the truck driver.

-those "scary stories to tell in the dark" illustrations

-and this other book, but damn, I can't remember anything but a vague outline of the plot.

As far as books go, I remember a book about the Tudors with a VERY graphic execution picture on one of the pages. Something about the cartoony illustration of the guys head flying off, his expression and the blood everywhere. That traumatized me a little...

Also Oddworld anyone? *DAT voice* "They were going to EAT ME!" I didn't even play it myself just walked in on someone else playing it. But still it has stuck with me. Trauma trauma trauma.

I was 8 when I saw Event Horizon in theaters.

shit scared the fuck out of me

I watched it again on netflix like a year or so ago and I felt ashamed of my past self.

got pushed in the pool fully dressed when i was like 10 or 11.

I don't go near pools unless i have swim shorts now and seriously still want to kick the shit out of my cousin to this day over it.

When I was 4 y/o, my parents went away to go to a funeral. My mother

My generation (i was 7) got traumatized by IT, and nothing get even close

The best thing was the day after at elementary school
All was like "oh yeah, i've seen, nothing special, not scared at all, i don't know why they say is scary iz not scary at all. I bet you shit in your pants ahahah" -bitchslap the fatty kid-

When on reality in our hearts we was all

They let 8 year olds into an 18 certificate film?

Mostly things my much older brothers put me through.

One time my brothers and I were watching a Friday the 13 while I was extremely young. About 15 minutes out from the end my oldest bro(Jason) cut out. About 5 from the end one of my other brothers (zach) says I'm gonna go look for Jason.

My remaining brother Josh then lead me outside when the credits rolled to look for Zach and Jason. We had a detached three car garage with sliding doors at the time. As soon as I walk out the back door the middle port garage door slide open and my brother Jason is in a hockey mask firing up my dads chainsaw.

Everything after is blank. Literally no idea what happened after. Only my brothers know.

What? There is nothing scary about that! I watched who framed Roger rabbit every single day for nearly a year as a kiddo.
