It was my first time, and my butt really took a hard pounding

Pics of ass not loading.

How's the group of guys who go riding together then have a coffee at the local cafe still in their lycra? I reckon the whole biking hobby is a bit gay.
Reminds me when I was younger I rode to work everyday. Wearing cut off jeans and a t-shirt on my cheap bike I would regularly overtake people dressed like they're in the Tour De France riding much more expensive bikes. Weird wearing all that shit just for a quick bike ride.

Pros remove the seat for exactly that reason. Try it, just leave the seat post in place.
man you just remind me about movie in ex yu and mental hospital and piano chair and what happened there

@Flower2dPeople You are up. It's time to style on the rest of us.
Ass pounding is a speciality.

@Fedorgasm , contact points (saddle, pedals, handlebar/grips) should be replaced with quality parts ASAP in all bikes, most especially mountain bikes. Get your fit sorted out. A new bike means weeks or even months of adjustments and little tweaks here and there if you're not going to a bike fitter - I didn't.

I forgot to mention: Padded shorts or underwear is a must.

My dick and balls go numb if I ride a bike for too long.
I've only got 2 bikes, but I have 7 saddles. The LBSs near me don't have sample saddles you could ride to get a feel for. So I ended up buying online again and again to get the "perfect" one for me. Most people would buy 2-3 of the same saddles that fit them because saddle manufacturers tend to stop production and you have to repeat the process of finding the correct one all over again.

I would assume you were riding in the city. Maybe they were doing Zone 2 training or recovery rides (where you don't' exert effort as much as possible) to get rid of the lactic acid build up. Or maybe, you miss your calling and must have been a prodigy.

Depending what kind of riding, get a hard tail with some decent front suspension. Maybe a full if you're going to go into some crazier trails. Also a dropper post is a must.

I went on a 20km ride a couple of weekends ago. Hadn’t gone on a ride that long in years. My buttocks hurt a lot too.

LOL.
They were probably standing still.
No "cheap" regular bike will outrun a road/race bike.
The weight difference alone.

A lot of people seem to overestimate how far and how fast they go.

Hoping to get the Mountain bike out next weekend for the first ride of the summer my ass gonna be some sore.
