Economy It pisses me off that Liberals do not want to cut the budget AT ALL

I never saw a biden response....The issue is whether these things happen..a govt representative should be dismissed based on this talk? Again, the peace talks for ukraine are about to start.... some of these things will get resolved but the incredible impact of the first month or before are incredible so far.

Its a big difference between what a Congressman says and what the President actually does.

AOC did propose Biden to break the law, which Biden didnt, Trump literally broke the law its a done deal.

OK bud... will see. So do you support her getting elected again? If he did then there will be penalties. But if none... will you admit that some of these things are good?

I know you refuse to believe it but he literally plotted to overturn the election he lost. You say our checks and balances will hold so do you at least acknowledge they're under attack? Project 2025 not real?
Lol nah. We are good. He didn't instruct the military to help him except to keep order on Jan 6. Come on bruh.... we will be ok. If Israel gets resolved, our borders get resolved, Ukraine gets reaolved... budget cuts... then what

For reference...

Government expenditure in major economies (% of GDP):

  1. France - 58.34
  2. Italy - 56.74
  3. Germany - 49.48
  4. Spain - 47.11
  5. Brazil - 46.38
  6. UK - 44.3
  7. Japan - 44.09
  8. Poland - 43.54
  9. Netherlands - 43.5
  10. Canada - 41.43
  11. Australia - 38.08
  12. USA - 36.26
  13. Russia - 36
  14. China - 33.4
  15. Switzerland - 31.53
  16. South Korea - 28.68
  17. India - 28.62
  18. Mexico - 28.53
  19. Saudi Arabia - 28.23
  20. Turkey - 28.06
  21. Indonesia - 17.54
I couldn't find data for Taiwan.

The US has a higher life expectancy than every country ranked below it, except Switzerland and South Korea.

The US has a lower life expectancy than every country ranked above it, except Brazil and Poland.

Taiwan also has a higher life expectancy than the US, but like I already said, I couldn't find government expenditure data for them.

I'd argue, the easiest way to improve standards of living in the US would actually be to increase government spending.

You're still my bro but you have the blinders on. This guy so far has been threatening to get any concession he's gotten. That's the opposite of diplomacy where you can charm a guy into concessions and he'll thank you for being such a gentleman. "Do what I say or GRRRR ogre will eat you!" Yeah this guy is a total loser. He's a narcissist just like Musk that's more worried about people thinking he's the best video game player in the world while in reality he's stepping into leveled up characters and has no idea of nuance. Where these guys are leading us is into a future like Venezuela or Turkey.

Sure i guess, i wouldn't mind anything as long as its done by the book.

Oh?

President Joe Biden on Thursday defended his administration’s decision to waive 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow for construction of roughly 20 miles of additional border wall, saying he had no choice but to use the Trump-era funding for the barrier to stop illegal migration from Mexico.

“The money was appropriated for the border wall,” Biden said. “I can’t stop that.”

He said that but he never did it.

No, they "don't always happen" it has only happened two times in the history of America before 2025.

One was Nixon which caused Congress to pass the Impoundment Control Act and the other one was Trump 2020 when he stopped Congressional aid to Ukraine.

So in the 247 years of America's existence only 3 times has the executive challenged Congress authority to set spending and taxation and 2 of them were Trump.

This is some serious shit, even if you don't realize it.

Damn right it is serious, it is incredible that people seem to have such strong objective to a President finally doing his job giving direction to the federal agencies he is in charge of instructing how to execute their jobs while also actively managing his budget and conducting oversight of how those agencies spend taxpayer dollars.

Even if you don't realize it, this is what it looks like when the President of the United States actually shows up to work and does his job.

Thats not his job
Uhhhh What!? So the President of the United States, leader of the executive branch of government's job doesn't include managing the federal budget allocation to the executive branch to fund all of its agencies? Then who does? Santa Claus?

He already said that he will put doge through congress and abide by the court order and appeal. I'm not legit worried. And no worries about disagreeing with me. We are still buds. My relationships aren't based on someone agreeing or disagreeing with me. Life is boring if you surround yourself with a bunch of peeps that only agree with you.

You don't mind but you aren't railing against her. Anyway, Trump says he will abide by the order and put doge through congress. Will see..

It depends on what the law says that Congress passes. Sometimes an appropriation is made that gives a POTUS discretion on how to use that money, through various executive agencies. Often times though, the bill that’s passed gives specific instructions on how funding is to be used, and once that’s passed into law the POTUS has to follow that. He can’t spend less, spend it on other things, or not spend it at all unless there’s discretion given to him to o do those things by Congress in the applicable statute.

I feel like a lot of people need a refresher that one of the constitutional duties of the President is to “take care that the Laws be faithfully executed” (Article 2, Sec 3), and by “the Laws” we mean those things passed by Congress.

Thanks for the post. Most of us don't know exactly how it works without looking it up. Cheers.
