It has been fun to rip on Conor, but TBF, the guy will be back and tough as nails.

The guy is a shit talking bad ass. Much like a Diaz. And he is great to watch. I have loved the Conor shit show that has happened because I fucking hate his fans, even though I like the guy myself.

I will still be excited about his next fight. You really can't ask for much more than that as a fan of MMA. I honestly do hope he gets better. The guy has some huge potential!

He is definitely doing the opposite of Ronda to handle a loss.

I think Conor's going to train like a mad man after that loss. He probably still has supreme confidence in himself. His next fight will likely be his best yet. "Think", "probably", "likely" because you never know how a man will handle a loss, but I think this loss is just going to make him better. If he loses his next fight? Not so sure, might be too big a blow to his confidence...

I keep rewatching his Aldo fight. It seemed like everything moved in fast motion. You can't train stamina as well as you can other attributes. Oh well.

It's not often you would describe the champion of a UFC weight division as having potential. For instance, as much as I love Robbie Lawler, and as amazing as his improvement has been, I think he is at or very near his ceiling as a fighter. As another example, as a Werdum fan, I find it implausible that he will become a substantially better fighter than he is now.

are you sure about that?

yeah man, who has ever heard about training stamina? nobody does that. because its impossible. everyone is just born with a certain amount of cardio.

He is tough? They are all tough, he is no different. (except Kalib Starnes).

Robbie and Werdum have greatly improved over the years. Both got kicked out of the UFC and look at them now. And that is what I mean. Conor has a shitload of areas that he can get a lot better in. The guy has potential!

Good fighter with great striking and a lot of power. However, he's got glaring holes in his game when he's not the bigger man.

This loss could be the best thing to ever happen to him, or the worst, only time will tell.

Hopefully he'll be more respectful going forward. Everyone loses eventually. That's why fighters shouldn't hate on one another.

TS, you're out.
Turn in your gazelle hat.

You too.

It's just more difficult. Maybe you should have read more carefully instead of dropping the knee jerk hyperbole typical of Sherdog

Right... I don't think anyone on this board is in a position to question any pro fighter's "toughness".

Why not? That's like saying you can't have an opinion on the Sunday football game.

How do you know what is typical of Sherdog in a week ?.

I really hope so, he's one of my favourite fighters. Not to mention every time he fights it's a huge event.

You're right. That fight still put Conors toughness or lack thereof into perspective though. Once he was rocked, he wilted and didn't offer much resistance.

Is he a front runner? Is his chin bad? Is this an outlier? No one really knows. I do know I saw a guy fall apart the second things got tough. I'm curious how things go for him in the future once he doesn't hurt someone with that straight left at 145.

I'm not aware of any evidence of Conor being 'tough as nails'. He did not deal too well with Diaz's punches or choke. And Diaz is not a big puncher. Conor's heart is not yet proven.
