Media Isreal Adesanya: "Shut him up again..worse than the first time" on Robert Whittaker rematch.

Who says he has a problem with him?

They are booked for a cage fight. I wouldn't expect a string of compliments at this point.
did you not watch the buildup to the first fight?

izzy was acting like whittaker was talking all kinds of shit and kept coming at him unnecessarily lol.

Rob looked like absolute dogshit the first fight and will probably lose in equally embarrassing fashion this time. Throws tons of sloppy shots and has no defense chin sky high. Bad recipe.

Dont know how anyone is a fan of this CaAN. Cant wait till he gets ktfo..

I probably did not, certainly not all of it.

I don't get into the soap opera he said she said aspect as much as a lot of fans seem to.
From what I have seen it didn't strike me that Israel went beyond normal "answering the questions/selling the fight" type of stuff.

But I will acknowledge that there could be things said which I am unaware of.

Is there something he said that was particularly egregious and a personal attack beyond the standard "I'm gonna knock him out/shut him up" type of stuff which is imo fairly standard issue?

I'm favoring Izzy, but in his last few fights Rob has shown the very things needed to theoretically trouble Adesanya and make the fight competitive: extensive of an educated jab and straight punches in general rather than blitzing in with looping shots, along with a willingness to mix in some really explosive TDs off his strikes and/or the actions of his opponent.

Wouldn't be surprised if the rematch is way more competitive.

Whittaker's last two match ups were very stylistically favorable. Cannonier and Kelvin are both plodders who were easy for Rob to stick and move on. People seem to have forgotten that Whittaker barely beat Till, who went on to get mostly doninated by Brunson.

Styles make fights, and I think that Adesanya's length and countering ability is big problem for Rob.

But, I also wouldn't be surprised if the rematch is competitve.

Love watching both guys fight, but it just seems like a really difficult match up for Rob.

I like Rob but if losses it's 100% on him this time. (sometimes fighters just can't beat someone)
If he does the right thing he can beat Izzy don't think he will tho

Barely beat Till? Nah. He soundly won that fight.

Israel's videos are the shit, I look forward to watching them.

Israel is an awful human being, hope bobby stomps him. Mods, this post is not intended to be fascist, anti lgbtq, xenophobic, homophobic, racist, anti biden or any other form of modern day triggering.

Whittaker has been nothing but classy and level headed since that uncharacteristic performance against Izzy where he was winging wild shots and fighting recklessly. That's not how he usually fights.

That said, Robert still has tendencies to leave himself open defensively and does throw too many looping shots in the pocket. He is going to have to fight a perfect fight to win here and I don't know if he can. We can't just say he needs to mix it up, as it's been incredibly difficult to get Israel down and if anyone has been lucky to do it, they can't keep him there. His TDD at 185 is exceptional.

I know this forum loves to hate on Adesanya but the guy has proven that outside of that Jan misstep, at 185 he is an elite fighter who hasn't been tested since that Gastelum fight. He may just have Bobby's number.

I want Knuckles to win. I hope he wins. I don't think he does.

Thanks for the cliffs as well, TS.
He was only headhunting that fight. Hope he includes body work this time.

"People" do, but I don't. There's a legitimate case for Till winning that fight 48-47, even though I scored it for Rob. I agree entirely.

As for Till getting dominated by Brunson, well... "styles make fights" applies here as well (more so if you buy Darren's claims of going in injured). Brunson is a more stifling wrestler than Rob.

Styles make fights, and I think that Adesanya's length and countering ability is big problem for Rob.

Again, I don't disagree. Adesanya is obviously a very different threat than Jared, Kelvin, or even Till. But what I'm saying is that the basic formula with which Robert is fighting with lately is more educated and more likely to result in success than the "gameplan" he employed last time, which was wreckless left him wide open to counters without giving Izzy a grappling threat to consider. Some have said that there are some notable similarities between it and Jan's successful gameplan, which I understand but it's a bit of a stretch IMO.

Either way I'll be favoring Adesanya as I said, but I expect Rob to give a better account of himself this time around.

whittacker gor crushed by izzy right after gastelum beat the shit out of izzy before fading away, so everybody had rob as favorite i remember.

lol when izzy thought he was gonna beat jan. 2nd time around with whittaker, izzy way too overconfident. gonna watch just to see izzy get KO'd.

Has this guy ever come off as likeable during an interview?

Is Whittaker shit talking or something? Because it seems like its dipshit izzy making up things in his head to justify how he acts shitty towards people.
