This is perfect. What excuse does Whittaker have to turn this fight down again of it’s in October? That’s more than enough time since his last fight and quarantining.

Are you implying turning down a fight with the guy who knocked him the fuck out on a monthish turn around given he had to quarantine for 2 weeks plus the ligament damage in his dominant hand wasn't a smart decision? A fully fit Whittaker's going to be a considerable underdog to Adesanya, a half fit one with a short camp would have gotten run over easier than the first fight. Given how only UFC favourites like Max get another crack at champions after 2 losses Whittaker would be in MW purgatory with another loss to the champ.

Izzy is smart to be active. You don’t get better by being on the sidelines picking and choosing which fights you want etc, remember he’s 31 with a lot of mileage from kickboxing, he has a ton of kick boxing fights under his belt. He’s young but he’s not spring chicken, he very well could be retired in 3 or 4 years, enjoy while it lasts.

He called him out for a fight in September, Adesanya didn't want to wait and took a fight and won in the interim. Fair play to him given he's stated that he's happy to turn around in October. To suggest Whittaker's ducking him is about as smart as the dude in your photo taking off his shirt with his sizable moobs and even bigger gut. Only potential hold up to an October bout barring injury might be if Adesanya insists on the fight being in NZ. Doubt the NZ gov would allow it without an extended quarantine, which Dana's on the record as saying the UFC won't go anywhere that requires 2 weeks quarantine.

After Robert beat Jared in late October 2020, he said he wanted Izzy in March 2021. Izzy and UFC said they can't wait that long. So they booked Jan vs Izzy. For March. And Whittaker vs Kelvin for April.

Izzy wouldn't mind fighting Whittaker sooner but Whittaker insisted he would prefer to fight near the end of 2021. If Izzy won the LHW belt he would've defended his first LHW title in June against Glover instead of the Italian and would've fought in September and December because he would have more options to fight.
