You do not have a concept of the scale of the amount of weapon Russia and Iran have flooded into the region. Trying to draw this equivalency is just fucking stupid.

Iran has something like ~3x the population of prewar Syria, an all out war between it and Israel could trigger a disastrous refugee crisis. Not to mention it could end up involving other states like Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria which aren't so stable and that kind of regional breakdown would be very bad to say the least.

That region with the Suez. No major power will be at ease knowing the balance of power that controls the stability of the canals will be at stake.

Yeah the exponential scale is what makes it worse, and it's not limited to the Middle East, but all of Africa and parts of Asia as well.

Almost every single bomb, bullet, or missile that has killed a US or allied soldier or civilian has come from a Russian or Iranian factory.
