I'm not a native English speakers. I'm learning.

So I'm wondering what is his accent from. He was born in Nigeria but he grew up in New Zealand (both English speaking countries), however he sounds like an American for me.

But I want to know what is his accent from? Has he been living in USA the last few years and that's why he got that accent now? (I think his gym is in New Zealand but he doesn't got that accent I think, at all). Is his accent fraudulent? Is a mix? What is it?

So yeah I'm just asking because I don't know English like that. I hear you guys!

It’s a mix, doesn’t sound American though. There are hints of it but not enough to say he’s from the US.

It's an odd mix of New Zealand and American.

He tries hard to imitate that east coast rapper persona and then adds some millennial anime fan shit on top of that. Weird.

Not a native english speaker here but in my job i talk with americans almost on a daily basis, he sounds "american" to me, probably a bit of a try hard gangsta accent, but still american-ish.

These people want to be American for some reason. Try really hard to copy the yank accent. They sound like total dork-buffoons.

Sounds to me like he is trying to emulate an American accent, ergo sounds American to anyone who isn’t actually American.

I reckon 2nd generation Nigerian first, then like an Americanised New Zealand accent follows, i'm sure they all mix depending on where his is and who he's with.
