His legacy was cemented regardless of what would have happened in the Mir fight. For nostalgia's sake, people are just really excited to see him win again.

I don't hate Fedor if that's what you think, I wasn't even around to watch his fights, I'm just saying since he's at the tail end of his career, people are excited to see him fight and win, and since he won't be around for to long, why not let his fans have their moment.
Fedor won't be around long, so much like DC, or Frankie Edgar fans, they're enjoying his last Harrah.
