Dustin probably is the most decorated fighter in the sport to not hold the belt, going into this fight reminds me a little of bisping vs rockhold.... even though dustin has had a way better career then Bisping, this really is Dustins last shot to do it, and i would love to see him do it.. Great Great Fighter, always puts on great fights, great guy for the sport... he deserves it, but he is going up against one of the best ever... I am hoping Islam is a little uncomfortable fighting another southpaw, and dustin catches him.. I feel his only chance is a one punch KO...
Islam should win but can anyone else envision a Poirier KO win?

Poirier has to catch him on the way in; that's the only option. I think Islam is too good and too defensively responsible to get caught.
If Poirier gets the job done, it will be on the inside when Makhachev is going for a takedown. Dustin has good uppercuts too, so it's not unrealistic for it to happen.

That's not true.. i think most of us have been watching this sport long enough to know anything can happen... Giving a legend and future hall of famer no chance at all is just plain silly.. Especially what most of us are saying is Dustins only chance is a one punch KO, because Islam is so good and no matter what he will eventually , during 5 rounds, i feel get dustin where he wants and sub him

Poirier is the underdog in that fight, but he's skilled and has power, and Islam has lost by KO before. That's a perfectly reasonable prediction to pick Poirier by KO.
It's not like it's a "he has a puncher's chance" kind of fight, he will land and test that chin, there is no doubt about it.
