Hard to punch someone when they are laying on you for 3 rounds I suppose

Only 6 fights, a whole host of them were favourable grappler match-ups.

I'm not really familiar with his fighting style. Is that because he has great movement and defense that allows him to avoid strikes, or because he has dominant grappling and he usually smothers his opponents for long periods of his fights?

Edit: Looks like my question was answered

Is it racist to say all these white guys with the buzz cuts and chin strap beards look alike? I honestly thought that was khabib for a second.

  7. unlike gregor and other grapplers he faced ex wrestlers in TIBAU, nik lentz and chris wade and still dominated. noway nik lentz and chris wade are grappler friendly matches not to mention TIBAU.

Which means that his getting KO'd/shots absorbed ratio is very high...

Yeah that was a bad stoppage as he's already prepared for a scramble.

  17. you are. he kicked with his legs, he was not out. most other refs would have let him keep fighting. amateur ref. watched adesanya vs gastelum just recently? Lawler vs Askren?

Makhachev went limp after the follow up shot, the stoppage was fine IMO.

  19. Lawler vs Askren? Adesanya vs Kelv ? that ref would have ruined those fights just recently.

I remember when Machida held that record... and his fights were almost entirely in standup. Now that's something!
