so Islam matched the “best striker” in the ufc for significant strikes while also taking him down 6 times in a 5 round fight while controlling him on the ground for 8 minutes of a 25 minute fight

Not going to lie lad if the goal was to make me laugh when you had the notion to call anyone a casual you succeeded so well played. The vast majority of people scoring that fight including 2 of 3 judges gave Volk 2 rounds, though like myself didn't think he did enough to win, if your standing with Derek Cleary you've got your own problems. If you watched that fight and thought it was as you put it a cake walk and domination you really haven't learned anything in what based on your Sherdog join date alone has to be a minimum of 6+ years. Maybe I'm being harsh and English isn't your first language though so who knows. Either way thanks for the laugh. Maybe stay less emotional when watching fights, happens to the best of us I admit.

Meshew, Fox and Cleary? Now that's impossible to argue against. Volk won the 5th and the 3rd, Islam won the 1st and 2nd and ultimately the fight and the decision doing enough in the 4th round via, for the majority of the round, holding position doing little to no damage.

Anything can happen in this sport. Imo Islam is going to beat Charles again but Charles could definitely make it more competitive. That first fight was very embarrassing for a guy like Charles who is top tier.
Still, don’t be fooled by recent results. Just because Islam got his ass kicked by little Volk and Oliveira dispatched a true lw in Dariush, doesn’t mean Oliveira will necessarily avenge his loss to Islam. Styles make fights and Islam is a very bad matchup for Oliveira.

Maybe you should watch it again. A few points to remind you:
- Islam should beat someone from his own division in his first title defense, he defended against a guy from the... below division.
- Volkanovski tried to bulk the best he could, but of course he didn't have the proper time and was clearly the smaller guy in the fight, not only his size but also weight.
- Islam should run through Volkanovski because of those parameters, and Volkanovski not only make a competitive fight but also almost outstruck Makhachev, making him almost cry in the last round rooting for stop the time lol.
- Islam became smaller and Volkanovski bigger after the fight. A man from a below division lol, older and almost a midget.

LOL, you're talking about Charles who's got more heart than most guys in MMA. You're talking about a fighter who vs elite guys like Chandler, Gaethje and Poirier got knocked down and hurt and came to finish them shortly. The man gets hurt and continues to fight. Islam gets hurt, he covers up and turtles trying to survive. Look how he looked vs Volk in the 5th round, he was in shock and terror, stopped fighting.
