I don't know how true that is. It's not as though we have polls to support that. I dated a non-Muslim Iranian girl once who would disagree with you. But there is something interesting in this propaganda piece by ISIS. They very eloquently and clearly describe to us why they want war with the West. And it's good that they are so clear, because their strict motives and goals separate them from the various schools of thought and degrees of religious extremism. It opens up room for dialogue, and to influence those who don't buy the whole ISIS package.

They also claim that part of the reason for their hatred is US foreign policy.

I think that while the US continues to support Israel and engage in proxy wars in the Mid East, they will always hate the West. It's the most logical point they have going.
