Yeah cool but not reality
Al jazeera has 3 good opinion pieces focus lednon mosul today if yabwanna educate yourself on it

I'll take a look, and what I said is a gross simplification, but I don't think the people left in Mosel have any want, what so ever to oppose the rise of the new Sunni Caliphate.

Back to the ISIS apologism I see. Funny how the shia who were 'marginalised' for far longer didn't resort to savage barbarism and killing everyone and anyone. They murdered the yezidis and enslaved their women because they see them as 'not muslims'. They lost power and wanted it back. They backed ISIS and now they are reaping the rewards.

They fought ISIS because they got paid off. Once the money stopped they went back to doing what they do best.
We pretending shias militas havent done the same

Tommorow set to be huge flashpoint in aleppo fighting.
Fsa and turks massing to push into ypg held territory following repeated turkish airstrikes today
Damascus has threatened to shoot down turk warplanes if they continue.

Even if this was true ...yes

Your whole argument is that the government is killing civilians so when it actually tries to save civilians and are stopped by the rebels, you still claim the government is wrong?

It is killing civilans
Its entire strategy has been to target civilains to break the rebels....are u really telling me you think they now give a shit about human lives?

The ones isis took and gleefully stockpiled?

Yes, that they put down without a fight.

This is back to my original question. How do we hold mosul after we push ISIS back. The people won't fight, and we threaten giving ISIS more arms by even attempting it. Our other choice is unleashing the kurds or shiites to police them, and last time we tried that iraq almost melted down into civil war.

This stuff right here is why I don't understand why we don't just leave the whole shit hole that is the ME to the russians, Iranians and syrians. If it is about oil, then it is time to be honest about what we are doing there, and start asking questions about if our blood and treasure would be better spent on energy policy then the never ending quagmire that is the ME.

Id say its more russia
Irans fighters are doing all the real grunt work on the ground but its russias airforce thats been the decider and russia doesnt want to be seen as massacring civilians wholesale.

No, they haven't done the same.

The tactic of trying to equate the shia militia's with ISIS is so 2014. Even 'iran-backed' is losing its negative weight despite being widely adopted.

They wouldn't be in sunni cities if it wasn't for them welcoming and joining ISIS and trying to slaughter everyone. The Russians also did horrible things in Germany when they swept into Berlin during WW2. The key difference is that the Germans attacked first. Nobody shows sympathy for the Germans because they 'had it coming' no matter how wrong it was.

The shia militia's didn't leave their comfortable homes in safe areas to die in Fallujah and Ramadia because of wanton bloodlust. They did it because ISIS was bearing down on Baghdad and bombing any market, wedding or cafe they could get a car bomb near.

Until the money stopped and the noble mosulawi's ratted out their yazidi neighbours, killing the men and enslaving and raping their women. Apparently because they felt 'disenfranchised'.

The sunni narrative in Iraq is dead despite all the Saudi lobby money. Even now they still push this idea that Iraq is a failed state, and that its government is not legitimate.
