Wont they? Not that they have to all its the growing fsa forces there that russia must worry about protecting its fragile ally from

You dont seem to read much about recent events.

Dude, Turkey can't do shit. They've literally eviscerated their own military and intel services with all the purges since the coup attempt. Not just officers, but senior NCOs were fired as well. All those tanks that got blown up in Syria? They all had broken down initially and were sitting targets. They can't maintain routine maintenance schedules or operational readiness. Their logistics is a nightmare. Half of the pilots for their Air Force got the axe, not to mention the ground crews for their aircraft.

It's going to take them years to get back to where they were before the coup. Why do you think they've stalled out? Two years ago, Al Bab would've been captured already and Raqqa would've been on fire by now and the YPG's assholes would be gaping wide goatse style .

Just look at the rhetoric from Western leaders; a few weeks ago they were telling the Kurds to GTFO out of Manbij or wherever and now they've pivoted back to the "Kurds are the most effective force in the region" line. At this point all Turkey can do is make sure they've got a seat at the table when the final decisions regarding Syria are made and prevent the Kurds from gaining de facto or ipso facto independence. And they sure as hell aren't going to commit more inexperienced ground forces to be cannon fodder for ISIS suicide bombers. That would really look bad for them.

These are dark days for the rebels. Erdogan just shot the Turkish military in the foot, the Saudis are dead fucking broke (they just slashed the salaries of their civil servants) and they're getting hammered like never before in Aleppo. If they don't hold out now, they're done. There's some talk of them massing to try and break the siege again, and apparently they've got some Grad rockets and launchers now, so they may still be able to turn the tide.

As for the West and a no fly zone? Get real. Russia annexed Crimea, invaded Ukraine and shot down a civilian air liner. The West did nothing. You think western governments are going to directly confront Russian forces to help some Arabs? Have you not been paying attention to the recent election cycles in Europe and the US?

Yeah lets never confront russia and just hope theywill start behaving reasonably thats worked so well up to now
Lol enormous strawman if it was those countries of course id be equaly behind any revolution

So youre happy with the tactic of starving and bombing civilians just to force rebels to the table? Ok cool
And losing ground? Have u seen the maps of hama and the rest of aleppo recently?
Russia has been confronted plenty of times in history, when there is enough at stake for the West. A few thousand jihadists hiding among civilians in Aleppo isn't considered high on the priority list. You didn't get your panties in a bunch when Bahrain killed scores of Shia protestors. You didn't get mad when Saudis killed and wounded thousands in Yemen through its air campaign. This shtick of yours about being outraged at civilian casualties certainly is very selective. I understand you gotta represent for your Sunni jihad cause, but tone it down a notch.

You know what's the most reliable way of knowing when your moderate jihadists are losing? When you're whining about genocide on here. Just to rustle you some more, did I mention Russia just sent additional planes to Syria?

Which is odd as
A) this is a thread on syria not yemen or bahrain..u can read no?
B) i feel bad for the civilians in bahrain and yemen too ,
Ivvrepeatedly said id happily be behind any uprising in sa or bahrain or any of the numerous other tyrant states (russia counts too these days)
To say otherwise is a weak ass strawman at best

Losing? Again check a map of hama and the rest of aleppo

And yet just after is when they launched their assault into syria
Stalled out? Its taking villages and towns as fast as their troops lil feet can carry them ! Refugees being sent back in to areas as we speak.

Western leaders have always spoke that way of the kurds..its a broken policy, the kurds want their homeland they arent keen on dying by the thousands to take and then give back raqqua..... its way way outside their planned state lines.

Dark days for some rebels yes
The ones in hama and outside aleppo not so much
The fall of aleppo would be a blow ....but bear in mind its entirely a victory for ruaf and a now largely foriegn ground force, if it falls who secures it?
Northern Fsa with the turks at 15k now with plans to massively expand thus long term aleppo willl be rebel held anyway.......so all the massacring of civilians is for a short term meaningless 'win' that russia hopes to secure with a deal before the hildebeast gets in the whitehouse and begins her 're-set'

We sat back and let them not out of fear but broken policy of trying to make russia part of solutions to problems they are a direct cause of.

Virginia State Senator, Marine veteran Richard Black: How Americans are being lied to about Aleppo

And that,s the end of that. No no flight zones or open confrontation with the russians or the syrian goverment.

Sad state of affairs. But, as i said before, America is not going to war with Russia over Syria.

Crimea is far more important than Syria and the US didnt intervened there.

True.

Syria is a shit stom all around with no ''good'' guys.

At this point i prefer that the side less likely to engage in mass slaughter and rape of civilians for the crime of having the wrong religion or ethnicity wins the war.

You do realize that "Hildebeat" is not a sure thing and in the event that she managed to secure a win, she still need UN and Congressional approval right?

I dont know from which shithole you came from but Hillary wont be an Erdogan, she is going to be president of the USA that means that she will still need congressional approval to wage war.

And on the international scale she will need UNSC approval to make her action legitimate, which means Russian veto.

Do you see all that happening over Syria? because i dont.

I know you arab folk think you are the center of the whole creation, but you are not friend.

To do what exactly? The air assets are already there and engaged ona daily basis it would simply be a change of policy for an area the u.s is already policitaly neck deep in.
And the gulf money hungry congress? Obama had to mobilize unwilling democrats recently to shut down a bipartisan bill that would have enforced tougher measures on regime and allies...thats the congress whos gonna oppose all this?

Arab folk? I know this may come as a suprise to you russians but not everyone rooting against genocide is an arab

Gulf money is not in great supply right now. Saudi is burning through money like there's no tomorrow. They lobbied hard against JASTA and lost. Who knows what kind of a panic they're in right now. Even with the OPEC cut oil is likely to stay low.

You're dealing in suppositions like you always do. Maybe Hilary will, but there's absolutely no guarantee. I doubt she'd want to kick off her tenure with a Russian conflict. Expect the can to be kicked down the road. And yes, I would expect the congress to be wary about any law that would take the US into direct conflict with Russia. This is not like Libya and other places. The Russians are already there.

The only viable solution (for Syria) is to create multiple distinct nations or a United confederation of Nations like the UK. So you would have a Sunni majority State alongside a Kurdish, Shia,Christian and Druze States or the various non-Sunni majorities would agree to a single State for them.

Having Sunnis run Syria is inviting genocide but Assad has committed terrible atrocities too.

Houthis claim to have hit a UAE HSV-2 Swift vessel in a missile attack featuring the return of the sandal sound system.

AQ veteran Abu Faraj (Ahmed Salameh Mabrouk) droned in Idlib. He has been targeted earlier this year but survived.

LOL, So weapons are already there, may as well go to war against a nuclear power without congress approval, that will surely come off great from a president with such a weak campaign.

There are tons of attrocities and genocides that nobody cares about, but when it happens to arabs you think that people will care enough as to risk escalating a conflict beyond its regional borders?

Assuming it would lead to war that is
And that of course avoids the obvious question...why would putin want ww3 or even a short 'clash' he clearly cant win?

This one has the medias attention esp now with un being targetted
Its you russians assume theres never any consequences for any attrocity
