Why not? Outside of nukes (ie muutal sucide and putins not crazy) they have no realistic way to respond...the disparity in firepower is unreal.
Can u imagine what a single one of the f22s that are present in that area would do to the russian planes?

Assuming a single incident escaltes to war (turkey isnt at war with russia right now) or that russia wouldnt simply back down to avoid humiliation...again putin isnt stupid hes not there to live or die for some shithole country.

@whougonnacall Clearly is more knowledgable about the issue than a 4 star general and decades of US-Soviet proxy wars.

The only way that America can do to stop Russians is to give MANPADs to the rebels, and thats certainly not going to happen.
