Isami BJJ Gi Review Updated

haha i'm in Southern CA, but if anyone knows where i got Part

hey let me know about the shrinkage, and does it shrink only once and then stays like that or does it keep shrinkign after washes? this store that is in new york is getting these gis. I called them up and they said in a couple months theyll have them

www.discountmas.com

their stuff is cheap so im hoping the gis are cheap too and theyre pretty easy with replacing(i bought a gi from there before)
nice reviewhttp://www.discountmas.com/robrmaarjuun.html I wonder this one compares to the lucky gi, they both have built in kneepads but this one is much more reasonably priced.

i really like these gi's, excellant style overall. living in florida though i get a little nervous at the prospect of a double weave gi. its a bit pricy too, but if the quality is there than its worth it.

$55 for that bad boy gi is awesome. must...resist...temptation...

As soon as I get the gi I'll review it for you guys. So far Isami has been great with keeping me up to date with all the processing stuff.

Of course. I like how Isami has predicted shrinkage. I actually wear an A3, but went with the A4 hoping that it will shrink up. If not, I'll just have the gi altered. The Badboy eyes coupled with some Fokai patches, I'm good.

can you put some pictures on wearing the gi? It could help us to figure out ....

it feels soft and light, won't be harsh in hot heat trust me

That's a nice looking gi... damn, I might have to get one... But I really like the gameness pearl...

oh yeah one note on isami kimonos

the cut of the sleeves are a little wider than some other brands. it is similar cut to the dumau kimonos. it doesn't bother me, but if you like gis that fit like rash guards beware. i know some of the people i roll with THINK it makes a diffrence but i haven't really noticed it

Although it's marketed as a BJJ kimono, the gi I'd say is basically a judo kimono. Nothing wrong with a judo kimono, just some people should be aware of what they are actually getting. It's a beautiful kimono btw.

yeah sleeves ARE wider, i thought maybe because i'm skinny.

and yes it is similar to a judo gi, although i got an all shashiko fabric. it does have a seam running in the back
