I think that it's an unnecessary expense as well. Financial stability will be more far more important than private education.

A girl I know who went to a great private school is currently at University.

Studying horse riding.

60K in pounds your rocking that is great pay for a job. Most people live quite comfortably with 30K so your doubling that very good. You should have no problem with the wife and kids with that income.

A lot of girls study horse riding during university. But to major in it, she must be something special.

I only make $40-45,000/year and am extremely comfortable in Oregon. Like hood rich.

In England? I have not the faintest of ideas.

sometimes this website depresses me

everyone on here seems to make more money than me, be in better shape, and use vocabulary I have never even heard of.

60k in Britain is like 90k in the US, or some shit like that. I'd kill to have a job I enjoy that pays that much.

There are 2 ways to be wealthy...

Make more money..

Or desire less stuff.......

Lol are you joking? My parents make like half of that combined and with one other sibling we live a comfortable life in a fairly big city.

If you don't ask you don't learn. It's the same with most jobs, if you don't perform your shown the door.

What exactly are you trying to learn? How depressed the average Sherdogger is? lulz. Most people on here aren't very estabished in their career on here -I think I am more an exception than typical on here.

or are you really trying to learn that an income 2 times the mean salary and 4 times a typical salary of the demographic on here -is a good wage or not? -plus you enjoy it?

Seriously -how about a thread that explains how you got to a career making good money and enjoying it -so you can teach the youngins' some positive life lessons

You could help some knee highs on here ya know. -they need info from people with your experience -

-points for Zappa Av though (I'm a Beefheart fanatic)

in this economy id give my right nut for a 40,000/yr job that i hated. is this a serious question or is TS living in the greatest economic zone on earth where that sort of pay isnt that great??

ridiculous question.

Ah, Beefheart. Was a surprise to learn he passed on last year.

Once I finished Uni studying Advertising & Media I was lucky enough to get a job with JCDecaux building billboards.

After 7 years there I got a job with Peel Holdings (Manchester) in their advertising division. Then after the travel was too much (4-7 hour round trip depending on traffic) I started looking for another job closer to home in the same industry.

The job I originally posted about came about closer to home hence the post.

To be fair I respect the opinion of everyone in he Mayberry.

The guys in here have given their opinions on new jobs, people who posted on here who have recently died (which unfortunately is becoming more and more common), people come on here to ask for advice once their dog dies, family feuds and much more (as you know).

Awesome. Sorry to sound so serious -but so many kids come on here depressed about their future, career, life etc -seems to me positive life/career details are worth telling to the those who might be a bit lost on here! Most kids just don't know where to begin and how to start making good decisions with regards to the future. It took me until almost 30 to start figuring shit out.

I used to try and aproximate Trout Mask, Doc, and Safe as Mike etc on the guitar -just isn't that easy lulz.

Yes, because it would mean you're in the UK with universal healthcare.

Most people could live like a king w/ that salary.
