Is Tristar a bad place for young prospects?

OK, maybe I am overreacting, but I was on Breese hype train since his fight with Pendred - and wtf is this. It looks like someone took the finishing instinct right out of the dude. In the last few years basically all Tristar fighters look the same - athletically gifted guys with good reach, boxing at range with occasional kick or two and sometimes trying to get a TD to steal the round (Taleb, Carmont, you name it).

This shit is pretty frustrating. There's no need to turn Breese into poor man's Rory Macdonald, the guy has tons of potential.

Possibly, there are many good fighters there, but I honestly don't know who will be the next contender or champion from there. Right now, it looks unlikely.

I guess Tristar is the gym fighters go to get neutered and lose their ability to move forward with aggressive action but they typically learn a pretty good jab. Maybe they should rename is jabstar.

Ya firas spend all his time with his stars

lost count of the number of fighters rising up the ranks I've seen go to Tristall, posters be like 'Wow Fighter X trained at Tristar for this fight! I can't wait to see their next-level performance!' only for them to put out an insipid performance of points-fighting devoid of any killer instinct they once had and come out with a loss (or dubious win) in a fight they were a favorite in.

Most overrated camp

So...basically Jackson's, with fewer stars?

I don't know, but it's not like every single fighter in the world can remain undefeated. Breese barely lost that fight, and I'm sure he'll come back better from it.

I didn't like the gameplan for that fight, though, but again it's something that he will learn from.
