I wonder what mobilized these people?

I mean, look at these postmodern third wave feminists in the west, they seemed to be dormant in the last 3 decades after equal pay acts, opportunities in workplace blablabla, and all of a sudden they just popped out of nowhere with this, wage gap/manspreading/manspalining garbage?

Was it Trump's election? Gamergate?

Americans voting for a black president but then not voting for a female president definitely contributed, especially as a sexual predator was voted in ahead of her. Doesn't explain why the same issues are in european society too though.

Actually, one more thing, you ever read 1984? The George Orwell book? I was depressed for a week after reading that and rage really snapped me out of it.

I know I read a book about 15 years ago that had a title that was just a date like that , but the plot on wikipedia isn't refreshing my memory at all, so I'm going to say no.

The SJW stuff will go away, if the economic inequality and never ending wars go away.

Until then, it will be around to divide people over bullshit cultural wars, so we don't act in our shared interests in economics, and ending the never ending wars.

They didn't though. This is how this went. Iraq war. Anti-war political groups rally college campuses across the country.

Obama wins election, the wars continue, protest movements go away, and all of a sudden we have this SJW stuff.

College kids are being told to be outraged at social non-sense, so we don't have Vietnam war protests part 2.

It is working.

But Liberals are a huge problem. My county just flipped blue for the first time in recorded history and now Liberals are going to mobilize to conquer and gentrify my town. Soon there will be Starbucks and gastropubs everywhere. Time to sell the ranch and move on.
