Jones performances can be magical, outstrikes decorated strikers, takes down wrestling olympians, runs out and shuts down the supposed best striker at HW then takes him down and strangles him. Jones is the GOAT and the closest thing to magic we will see in the cage after Anderson Silva. This was a great performance by Max Holloway but let's not act like it's typical, the guy has absorbed more strikes than any other UFC fighter and isn't some type of counter striking wizard like Silva was.

The answer is no, there is not.

As the sport evolves, we will continue to see better fighters, and dare I say better strikers than Anderson. I don't believe we will ever see anything like him going Matrix mode on fools though.

Only because of time, not because they couldn't. Robert Whittaker would solo Silva's entire resume.

Again, "would" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. He couldn't take Izzy or DDP's power, but he's "would" take an H-Bomb from Hendo or full TRT Vitor? That's a lot of confidence for a fighter who's never beaten any UFC champion in his career.

Yeah, the same Marquard who KTFO Woodley, Kampman, Misaki among many others.

I dont know how he was known by basic sherbros but he was no slouch in striking.
