Is there an alternative to Push.Pull.Squat Routine?

madcow 5x5 is a great change of pace, that and the pull/push/squat are the two routines I follow most commonly. see FAQ for details of the 5x5. You could also try the WSFSB.

Leg training has always been my best aspect of weight lifting. There are other ways to train lower back and I include that in my core training. What is your reasoning behind doind clean and press before close-grip?

There are 2 reasons.

1. I would always do explosive/olympic moves 1st so you are 100% for them.

2. OHpress>close grip bench/any other bench assist movement so as the priority I would put ohpress 1st.

that is just me, when I clean I want to be fresh and not tired from heavy lifting before hand.

and when I push I want to be 100% for my most important lift.

ive been doing a new thing it may be over doing a bit but here goes

power snatch
squat
bench
BORs

power clean
deadlift
ohp
pullups w/ or w/out towels

over head squat
front suqat
incline bp
dynamic row

sets and reps vary usualy a 10-8-6-4-2 and end every day with complexes

ive had good results and i dont feel like im overtraining but wont know till later

I like the 2 day split, sounds good.

Say im just doing the regular routine ok, would it be cool to do like 3 sets of 15-20 for a week to change things up a little bit? Would that effect something?
Whats the average time of rest in between sets?

I think throwing in higher reps is a great thing. Going heavy week in and week out is a great way to get strong fast but you have to be carefull of breakdown. In the olden days I used to do a squat/push/pull heavy every week. It works great for a good while but eventually the loads can tear on you. I now do a 2 day split. Bp, chins/dl, front squat. The only thing that stays the same is the dl and bp and I usually rotate in an assistance or skip it all together. I busted up my back pretty good on my squat/push/pull cycle years ago going heavy all the time but this 2 day with mixing in high rep 10-20 every other week on the dl or bp has kept my body going mostly pain free. Youll have to play around to see what works for your deals.

Dynamic Rows (this seems to be the only video on YouTube depicting 'em) --

That first vid looked like a pendlay row to me.

Er, um, crud. I thought I picked a good 'un.

(reviews "Angles of Inclination for Pendlay/Bent-Over/Yates Rows for Noobs" text)

Can we agree that the tip "don't be a pussy" was funny?

I dunno, I might be wrong. I always though ~45 degrees = Bent-over and ~90 degrees = pendlay. He was in the middle. :icon_conf

How 'bout this?

No, 45 degrees is a Yates row. Sadly this has become the norm. That guy in the first vid was doing bent over rows, the second vid was Yates rows. Pendlay rows start from the floor for each rep.

Push Pull Squat routine that is a three times a week workout.

OHP, BP, Dips
DL, BOR, Pullup
Front Squat, Back Squat, RDLs

Is there any other workout similar to this amazing full workout?

I suggest replacing your squat exercises with squat strap exercises. Much safer just as intense without needless back involvement and spinal tension.

You are fuckin' retarded!

Although the guy in the video was lifting almost 100 lbs. Pretty impressive.

Go kill yourself.

Jesus Fuck! That was your first post, too.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

How could anyone be so dumb as to come into the S&P and suggest that shit?
