Lewis has been KO’d by lesser opponents. If Gane takes some risk he can finish the fight.

Lewis will not gas because Gane will fight scared.

Lewis...5th round KO coming.

Then Stipe beats Lewis and we are back where we started.

yes Lewis weakness is his belly and is a target Gane really likes to exploid

this guy Who is a master of jiu jitsu couldn't submit Lewis with jiu jitsu, the chance of Gane winning by submission is 0%.

That was only the 1st round when he was on the ground with Lewis. Lewis will be gassed in the later rounds.

Bet the house

Oleinik employed a godawful gameplan and I pretty much predicted that fight to a tee. Alexey had a dominant top position and insisted on burning his arms out on a low-percentage scarf hold (which is a pinning technique in Judo and Sambo but can be used as a neck crank/chest compression sub in a pinch). He kept at it even when it was obvious Lewis wasn't going to tap or go out and that the only thing he was accomplishing was turning his arms into pool noodles.

Oleinik looked incredulous when it happened, but it's not like this is the first time. In his recent fight against Maurice Greene, Alexey did the same fucking thing: secured dominant top position on Greene and then went to the scarf hold for nearly the entire round, utterly destroying his own arms to the point that he couldn't even lift them to block punches in Round 2 and nearly got KTFO because of it. FYI, Greene is not some ADCC mastermind. He's billed as a kickboxer by trade with a BJJ Blue Belt whose biggest claim to fame in the ground game is going life and death with Gian fucking Villante before submitting him with the world's most questionable arm triangle from bottom thanks to sheer exhaustion and lack of awareness on the latter's part.

The point I guess I'm trying to make is that Oleinik is not some insta-kill if you grapple with him. In fact, he has shown some pretty atrocious fight IQ in recent years as he's gotten older. I hate to say that as I'm a fan, but it's true. Derrick's anti-BJJ is solid and Gane hasn't shown us enough to make me at all confident in picking him to get down and tap BB of all people, but I think it's going too far in the other direction to say that the chances of such an event are 0%. YMMV.

Gane is going to absolutely wreck him with knees to the body.
