It's IMO an unfair penalty to the wrestler who would have won 100 times out of 100 in a real fight, especially submission wrestlers who need time to work their way around shit. Think about it.
There's really no logical reason not to. This is what they do in college wrestling at the beginning of the second and third periods.They should have "get downs" if nothing is happening in the standup, like in Wonderboy/Till and Usman/Maia. Makes just as much logical sense as stand-ups.
