Is the Scottish accent most difficult to imitate?

G'back to sleep, Angus darlin.

I had a friend,RIP, in Vegas for a bachelor party get the idea that he was gonna fake an accent to pick up chicks. Well we ran into an old man outside our hotel who was British. My friend asked him how do I have a really good british accent? The old man paused and looked at him with a serious look on his face and said, " Be from fucking England." and walked away. One the best laughs we all had in awhile.

Naw, the Scottish accent is the best accent that I do. You have to be subtle but it can be done. I had an old coworker from Scotland - goooooood god she was smoking hot.

I think it depends on the person.

I can do an alright one, ive never even worked on it. And im not saying im good at it by the way.

But I can't for the life of me do a Boston accent, I just come off sounding stupid as fuck...oh wait I guess I am doing a Boston accent then.... OH SNAP BURN HAHA

But seriously I can't do one of them north eastern type accents.

I'd have to agree that it's one of the more difficult ones to do correctly, there's such a subtle difference between the Australian accent and the South African, I'm pretty sure I've mucked it up completely.

its not subtle, they are clearly different. There is a subtle difference between Aus and NZ accents but people from those countries can tell the difference.

Same with S.A. and Zimbabwean.

I've spent a good amount of time in Scotland... so it's not hard for me.

There are some english accents that are tough, as well as Irish.

Irish, Scottish, Welsh, South African...can do them all, piss easy.

Yeah it's tricky, Dicaprio fuckin' nailed it in Blood Diamond.

I thought so too.

Until my cousin in law who is from South Africa who now lives here told me it wasn't as correct, and that Matt Damon in Invictus was much more correct. He may be right in the sense that he wasn't young when he came over here, he is 31 I believe and moved here about 5 or 6 years ago, he speaks with a South African accent, and it sounds more like Matt Damon's than Leo's.

Now, there could be different ways it sounds from different parts so im not sure. But im just going to go with the guy I know who is from and still speaks with a South African accent.
