The Matrix was ruined with the second, bloated, pretentious, nonsensical movie, and the equally fatuous and overblown third one. This fourth film is just the latest terrible sequel to one of the best films ever made, and a film that really should have been left as a single piece of work

If I don't watch it, I'll just forget this 4th film even exists. So no I don't think it will adversely affect the franchise that much.

Not gonna watch but curious why Morphius (however it's spelled) looks different in the trailer. Is it just s different actor? Morphius's son? A glitch un the Matrix?

The matrix was ruined after the first film. Lightning in a bottle. This latest film was good in comparison to the other films. Roy Jones was the only good part about the other matrix movies.

“Shut your hole (name of person Smith took over that I forget) before I put you in one”

Different actor. They made up a story reason for it, but everyone but Neo and trinity was recast.

Thanks. I don't remember much about the movies. Always kinda sucks and when people get recast though.

They waited too long if they were gonna do this. It was low budget and cheesy looking. It was honestly hard to get through it. Got a decent amount of laughs out of it. Especially the new terribad Morpheus.

Fair but the last several films sucked it ruined it for me @ least

I liked Phantom
Never seen attack
I really liked Sith
I really liked force
I strongly disliked the 2nd one
Never saw last Jedi because of the 2nd one
Also never seen Rogue one

To be fair, Star Wars had far more quality films than The Matrix franchise.

I love the original but Reloaded was a one and done decent enough entertainment (never felt the desire to revisit it but was not actively bad) and Revolutions was just a waste.

Haven't watched the new one yet but my expectations are pretty low.

You can't say star wars is a ruined franchise when it's still grossing billions
They made money only because it had been so long without star wars movies. In the span of a single trilogy they basically ruined the series reputation. And most of the movies underperformed considering the massive value of the IP.

This wasn't some random Indy film, it was the most iconic sci Fi franchise ever.

Both trilogies after the original made money and they're only 10 years apart
