Jiri is fighting people twice the size of Max, it makes sense he would be dropped. But max without question has absorbed more damage over his career.

Here’s how someone comes to not like him.

Poster A talks him up big. Call him a nuthugger.
Poster B points out how often he gets hit. Often hard. And even if he becomes champ, it will likely be short lived. Because his chin will eventually fail.
Poster A calls him a hater.
Poster B gets defensive.
After 4 or 5 iterations of this, poster B actually starts disliking the fighter, “because of the fans”. Or if not dislike, sticks to his guns that he’ll never be a GOAT. Which, to nuthuggers like poster A, is 6 of one / half dozen of the other.

It’s not unlike politics in America today. The middle 80% probably agree 80% of the time. But because every choice or decision become so binary and argumentative, most never find that out.

Yeah fans will like him, other fighters maybe not. Also he doesn't fight humble, he just may seem humble because of language barrier. But people that fight with flashy styles are not humble. Their fighting style is a reflection of themselves. You can't fight like that with a humble mindset. It's confidence.
