I think it's not only a better fight but a more legitimate one. Stipe is the heavyweight with the most consecutive title defenses. Cormier is unbeaten at two weight classes barring loses to one of the best fighters ever who was on Peds. Whereas Alvarez hadnt exactly looked like a world beater in his run to the title and had never defended it. Conor had looked like a world beater at fw but had just gone one and one with a LW journeyman although at WW, he also had zero title defenses. I also think the match will be much more competitive.

Yes..easily, even if it's a little bit competitive it'll be a better fight as Conor vs Eddie wasn't competitive at all...

Neither Conor or Eddie defend their titles before that, Eddie was 2-1 before his title shot with both wins being questionable decisions, and Conor was 1-1 against a LW fighter in Diaz with the win being another close decision.

DC has beaten everyone not named Jones, with a proven 13-0 track record at HW. And Stipe just broke the HW title defense record.

GSP vs BJ, TJ vs DJ, and even Cyborg vs Nunes are all better too.
