It' a riskier class to fight at for sure and would be harder to win decisions as well being smaller since it would take more time. Johnson came from 170 all the way up to heavyweight and fought arlovski and beat him. He didn' stay at heavyweight cause he said he didn't like getting hit that hard. In a sport where brain damage is very real it makes sense to avoid fights that like that. That's why I imagine many fighters fight in weight classes belowThats why all of them cut weight. Fighting at hw would be too easy.
Not entirely wrong. I hate to call any division a "joke" (except for women's bw, smh) but even flw is deeper than hw at this moment.compared to the other divisions it is 100% with out a doubt, no argument what so ever, a joke
That's why I said "compared to other divisions" not just calling it a joke in general. The talent just isn' the same. I wouldn't favor stipe over cormier, jones, gustafsson, nor rumble. It' the guys like Cain and lesnar that have strong wrestling and heavy hands that make staying at heavyweight scary. If there was more space like no octagon then that might even be a problem but as is it just doesnt make sense. A smaller guy fighting a bigger guy is going to need more space then two of the same sized people fighting but that just wont happenNot entirely wrong. Yeah sure, he just decided to avoid the top of the HW div because of brain damage hahahaIt' a riskier class to fight at for sure and would be harder to win decisions as well being smaller since it would take more time. yeah you know cause arlovski didnt go on a 6 fight win streak right after that and he didnt lose in a number one contender fight to the current champ. Yup definitely way different then beating a top 3 heavyweight yup yup yupYeah sure, he just decided to avoid the top of the HW div because of brain damage hahaha
Barely beating post 08 Arlovski is kinda different to being top 3 but okay
This is a true statement. I can't think of another HW fighter that has changed their game as much as Fabricio.Werdum went from being a BJJ guy getting beat by Sergei to a guy who knocked out a K1 Champion with a legendary chin. He's honestly one of the best strikers in the HW division.
He is the most evolved fighter.
Not at all! Stipe lost to Struve because he is fighting in the HW division. He is hittable and will lose again soon, mark my words.Because how can you lose to this guyand then![]()

Wait do you mean one slip up or one slip?Evolved? No.
He's a Golden Gloves Boxing Champ, and a Division 1 wrestler.
He got CAUGHT against Struve, nothing more.
At HW, anyone can be finished with one slip.
Ok arlovski was top 3 lolyeah you know cause arlovski didnt go on a 6 fight win streak right after that and he didnt lose in a number one contender fight to the current champ. Yup definitely way different then beating a top 3 heavyweight yup yup yup
arlovski is a former champion and all the same guys that are at the top were around when he was champ tooOk arlovski was top 3 lol
