Even if the answer to this is affirmative, I don't think it detracts from Silva's legacy. It is entirely normal for the sport to evolve and produce better fighters, but they stand on the shoulders of their predecessors. The pioneers who pushed the boundaries deserve full credit and should be compared to their coevals, not to their heirs.
On the other hand, Silva's standing took a big hit when he popped for steroids. But if he had accomplished what he did fair and square, I'd have no trouble accepting him as a GOAT candidate.

he went the distance with izzy not to long ago aswell as DC not to long before that

he was 38 when he lost to weidman before that he looked unstoppable and those fighters he beat where good he just got old and his strengths rely on him being young and fast

I haven't seen the DC fight since it happened but I remember thinking during the fight DC was going easy as not to brutalize Silva since the fight was short notice and DC is a nice guy etc. Not taking anything away from Silva or DC.

if you really take a fair and objective look at it, I think his wins age a LOT better than GSP

Imagine if Silva ran from the UFC at 32 like GSP and Khabib did, and how much that would then cement Silva as the GOAT. Not sure GSP or Khabib would be champ of their division at 38 like Silva was.
