Is Rumble the third greatest LHW of all time?

TITO

Although if we are really talking about 3rd place I'd have Chuck there because Tito should be 2nd.

I like rumble but hell no he's not top 3 at lhw that's a disrespect to other guys like rampage Shogun etc

Nah it's definitely Shogun. Rumble never won the belt as dangerous as he was.

This is how fucking good Jon Jones is. He beat almost every single person on this list, without ever losing to a single one:

Shogun
Hendo
Machida
Glover
Rampage
Wanderlei
Chuck/Tito/Couture
Rashad/Forest
Bader/Davis/Anderson
Gustaffson

While they all juggle wins and losses among each other. Jon, at one point, had beaten more than half of all UFC LHW champs in history. Crazy fuckin stat.

fuck no (rip)

Anthony Johnson did ok in UFC

Other than Jones or DC he had the skills to take out any LHW legend. Other LHW had better resumes. It just depends are you speculating who beats who or overall accolades or both

Almost every single person? You listed 15 people and he fought 7 of them. He’s almost failed more tests than people he fought on that list.

It's a really good point.

To me it's Jones.....though he cheated so can you really give him #1?

Then everyone else in wahtever order you want with:
I'd probably go:
DC
Shogun
Wandy
Hendo
Rampage
Rumble
Chuck

I think " best version " of Mauricio which is before he even got to UFC then putting that specific window of rumble from WSOF to UFC is definitely debatable.

If you go on record and skills, I would say it's

1) Jones (no need to explain).

2) Machida: Big wins over stellar names, won the belt and defended it, gave 8 fighters their first loss, defeated 8 fighters who were or became champions.

3) Shogun: PRIDE beast, won the UFC belt, beat top level fighters, first to beat Machida.

His 'win' against Machida was one of the worst robberies.

If you look at Machida's fights against Shogun, Rampage, and Davis, you could split it either way and he's still 2-1.

To be fair though, he lost to Reyes fair and square.

Rumble is about on Hendo's level, but without the same level of resume. Still if we had a weird scenario where all the top LHWs were put in their prime and time travelled to the same place, Rumble could win that tournament with anyone. When he fought DC the first time he almost put him out, 2nd time he stupidly focused on out wrestling him. We never got to see Rumble vs Jones sadly, but it would of been interesting to see if he could land. His power could make him win any fight and he had decent wrestling to keep things standing with anyone almost.

Rumble's better than Hendo at 205 though, by a lot. Hendo has much, much better career though.

Wasn't my list. Davis and Anderson don't really belong on it. Jon was fucking 18 years old when Chuck won the title. Chuck, Wand, Tito, and Randy were the generation prior to Jon.

That would be 7 out of 9 that were applicable. Wipe that itchy ass, boy, and grab a towel.

Shogun fans are que cutest thing you can read {<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}

Not a single version of Shogun beats Jon with experience, even limited experience. He demolished him with no effort as a 22 year old. If you think 05GP shogun beats a debuting JBJ when he’s never trained I guess you’re right, but not a fucking chance at any other point in Jon’s career was Shogun a threat

I swear to god everyone in this thread is underrating Rampage. He’s clearly either 2 or 3 all time, depending on how you view Shogun’s career.

To be fair though, Rashad is probably a better fighter head to head than Rampage.

Don’t be a bitch because you perpetually prove you’re an idiot.

Let me get that for you while you contemplate going back and finishing high school. That ass must be on fire, boy.
