Is psychopathy an advantage in fighting?

no, psychopaths go after the weak and vulnerable
they carefully pick and choose their helpless victim but that won't work in an industry where nobody is a victim and most guys are happy to knock you unconscious for a few thousand more

if i was a very good fighter like Jon jones, my only motive is to end the other fighter's life by all means. It's a real right. Not shaking hands. In this case, If I were Nate Diaz when he got Conor in that choke, I would have yanked my arms back at full strength and broke conor's neck. No remorse.. Mercy is a sign of weakness. Many times, some fighters could have greatly injured other fighters, but chose not to.

So yes, there would be an advantage.Try to end or cripple the other fighter before the ref can interfere.

i honestly do not see any reasons for any fighters to hold back. your goal is to beat the living hell out of the other fighters. The only things stopping the fighters should be their own gas tank and the ref.

It would absolutely be an advantage.

People are misinformed about psychopaths. They associate that label with killers and murderers. It's not so. There are plenty of psychopaths that lead normal and successful lives.

In fact most people that are successful in high-level business are clinical psychopaths. They feel no remorse for fucking people over and ruining others lives on their way to the top.
You are extremely off-base and misinformed. "Most" successful people are NOT psychopaths, that is factually inaccurate. It's just that high level executive types are psychopaths at a higher rate than ordinary people. Two totally different things.

And the idea that they have "normal and successful lives" is also off-base. They cause destruction and drama in their lives and the lives of those around them. Sometimes they get away with it by being very manipulative, but oftentimes they don't. They're also more likely to end up in prison.

1. Try to rile him up to bring out the sickness. Psychos are often described as smart and calculative. Jones isn't that smart. A quick-witted talker can make him look silly. Chael didn't attack Jones, he was rather friendly.

2. Business is a field where empathy doesn't come first

Psycopathy would be a hindrance because you are unable to tell reality from fantasy. However SOCIOpathy would benefit you because you would have no hesitation to inflict serious damage to your opponent. Jon Jones, for example, is a total sociopath. That's why he's OK with the knee kicks and eye pokes.
