On topic he is not bullying, instead confronting people who talk shit on the socials, which IMO is how it should be

I think of bullying as generally picking on someone weaker than yourself, and didn't see any of that here. maybe was trying to mess with Merab or something, but otherwise Yan just confronted people who started stuff on social media

He actually hit Merab with those shots. Not hard but hard enough as a message. Seems like he took what Merab said personally and really wanted to see if he really had a problem in person.

Dude's very likely a sociopath.

He grew up in a dirt poor family as a small dude in one of the roughest parts of Russia, and is also ethnically 1/4 Chinese which is a true rarity over there. His family constantly had to move because Petr was always getting into fights both at school and on the streets. Probably got badly ostracized and bullied when he was a kid and had to learn very early on to not show any kind of weakness whatsoever.

Not a guy that I would ever fuck with, that's for sure!

Yan is so authentically himself. You can tell that MMA is the right job for him.

Even Arlovski said that Yan didn't back down from him (or something like that).

Yep Andrei said he could tell Petr was ready to throw down with him when he confronted him. Said he could tell he probably didn't want to scrap with a HW, but was ready too if the confronting escalated. Luckily Andrei wasn't looking to brawl and just wanted to hash out some thing which they did. But Petr was absolutely ready to throw hands if push comes to shove with a 6'3" 240lb andrei.

Yan is an excellent fighter, has been comfortably top five for years. Would need to make some changes to beat Merab but is around 50/50 or better against everyone else in the division.
