Is Nate Diaz more Talented than his brother?

I dont know about skill wise but Nick is a more accomplished fighter. Nate has less social anxiety than Nick though; thats for sure

Nick is a great fighter. He's fought killer after killer and has always been competitive.

Really wish he didn't fight so infrequently.

No. Nick has better wrestling and a better overall ground game and can strike better from the inside. Sure he lost his last three, but he's also faced much better competition (losses to GSP, Anderson, and Condit). Prior to those losses it was 4.5 years since he lost. He's also been competitive in all his losses save for the loss to Jeremy Jackson (GSP had a decisive win, though Nick at least was able to stop some td's and wasn't run through). Nate has had two nice wins in a row, but he's also lost 8 in the UFC, some fights he was dominated in (Henderson, Thomson, MacDonald, RDA). Nate's striking is also more counter and range based and not as purely aggressive as Nick's (who can do the counter and range game just as well if not better).

It's hard to say they both fight different standing... Nate's clean straights from range are like spears & are very accurate. Nick on the other hand misses more because he never throws single shots he punches in bunches & mixes it up a lot more with different angles. Nate is the cleaner, more accurate better on the eye, more elusive who will land at will & pepper you with shots in his preferable distance... where as Nick will close the distance in trying to cut the cage off so he can pin you to the outside rim of the cage & then let his hands go to put an accumulated beatdown on you. Both are awesome.

It's disgusting how Nick has been put on a pedestal all these years while Nate has been fighting everyone in the "big show". Sadly, it took Nate beating up a midget to get the respect he deserves.

Nick is the most overrated and saltiest person in mma history. Fact

Nick Diaz has gone toe to toe with some of the GOAT fighters of our generation.

Nate Diaz biggest win and most competitive fight to date was his Conor Mcgregor meal ticket.

I'd say Nick is better but nate has worked on his game over the years. I was just rewatching tuf 5 and it was hilarious watching nate try and throw kicks and tds. They're both awesome fighters though.

Nate probably has better takedowns, at the very least he certainly has better Judo. Other than that, shrug. Nick might still be a bit beyond him, hard to say.

Nate was literally slapping the dog shit out of MJ.

I didn't see any dog shit come out of Johnson.

I wish Nate would do body punches like Nick does. I think Nate is a little smarter though.

Nick does have great body punches. Nate threw a few against Conor that hurt him but I think Nick throws more overall.

They're basically the same fighter. People just assume Nick is better because he's been around longer.

Nick got lazy and sloppy as he made more money and spend time away. He's more talented, but he's older and less committed. At this point, Nate is the better fighter.

No way. Nick would be the same tough guy without Nate. I'm not sure if Nate would be the same without his big brother's influence.

I think Nate has taken a bit longer to get in his groove. He's continually getting better while Nick I think peaked a bit earlier. Nate is more like a Verdum where his skills increase. I think Nick just was a bit more natural at it and up to his suspension was the better one.

Nick had great fights with Noons, Penn, Inoue, Shamrock, Gomi. His last few fights have been against really tough opponents though, so only time will tell. I see him getting suspended again though honestly. I'm a big fan of the Diaz brothers, but let's be honest here. His constant troubles started over 4 years ago and testing has gotten worse.

Nate has consistently gotten better. He picked up a win over Cerrone, Gomi, Miller, avenged Maynard loss in a BIG way. All his losses have been against good people (with maybe the exception of Thompson). And with LOTS of bonuses in there.

Time will tell for both. I think Nate will get in a position to get a LW title match again (not saying he will win it. I hope Alvarez holds it for YEARS). Nick though, I just don't know. I don't see him getting anywhere past some of the good welterweights right now.

Not sure how anyone can say Josh isn't a "good fighter". Josh is probably 1 of the most underrated LW's of all time. He's been top 10 level (or wa s until a couple years ago) since like 2002.

I agree with some of the post but, don't really think I agree that Nate will be better than Nick.

I do think both of them have quality wins and the way they win and dominate opponents when they do (or dominate in a certain aspect of the fight game), just feel Nick's wins are a bit better.

Look at Nick's opponents since 2011. Come back.
He's lost to best!!! That makes him ... Meh. Honestly I think Nate is still trying and evolving. Nick is burnt out and just wants money fights.
Put it this way. Nate calls out Conor , gets the fight and chokes him out in second round on 11 days notice.
Nick calls out GSP, gets the fight and gives up in 3rd round and loses badly.
Yea, prefer Nate.

Meh, Nick all day.

He had a super close fight with Condit, could go either way.
GSP
Anderson Silva

cmon, 2 of them are considered the best of all time, and rightfully so

Nick has better boxing, a larger head, stronger body...better overall fighter.

Agree. If Nick is less successful in his career than Nate when all is said and done, then it's for other reasons, but Nick is the better fighter.
Him being ultra defiant, not wanting to "play the game" etc. is what he chooses to do. And he probably feels more real/genuine by doing what he wants, so good for him if that's the outcome he wants.

Nayt>Nikk. Better boxer and overall fighter. Also much better proportions. Long limbs.

LOL maybe arms yeah but legs look pretty short if we believe the UFC's stats.
