And does Nick need to fight again in order for us to find out who was the better of the two ? I personally think Nick is better, but Nate does have that huge win over Conor now.

Nick will probably always be more popular. Nate has come into his own with popularity at this point in his career but Nick can still just come back one day, get a huge fight and payday and it doesn't matter when he last fought. If Connor would have moved on and Nate didn't take a fight for a year it would all pass over.

Nick can still sell a ppv headliner fight with GSP any day this week and it would do over a million buys

Nate isn't in that situation

Nick is the better fighter imo. Stiffer and bigger competition

To the hardcore fans, no. To the average viewer, yes.

I see shit on Facebook all the time about Nate since the Conor fight. Hardly ever anything about Nick.

Nick needs to fight again no matter what

I think Nate is bigger now , not better.

Nate is bigger than he ever was. Fighting Conor will do that to you.

He is also a better fighter than him.

Nick is a better fighter... he walked through Anderson's punches, and out clowned the clown prince

With that being said, Nate is equally popular to Nick now

Nate is definitely more well known now, thanks to kicking McTapper's ass.

Nate is actually much more popular that nick has ever been.

I expect after Conor avenge's the first fight the MMA world will ditch him again, I'm glad he's made the most of his moment, it's well deserved.

more so

because he actually fights and doesn't just bitch constantly

How does one quantify that? I suppose Nick has been very popular for a very long time and Nate has been super popular for a shorter time, I'd say they're about the same....

ill add hardcore fans and casuals together when were talking who is more popular...and remember popular doesn't mean better but Nate is EASILY more popular than Nick ever was right now, its not even a question. Nick fought outside the UFC and that usually doesn't even touch casuals/non fans, has been suspended for years at a time and never got even close to the exposure Nate has received leading up to and after the Conor fight.

I do think however when Nick returns, depending on who he fights and hwo he does he could be just as popular as Nate is right now considering he is the better fighter and people know the Diaz name and the casuals when reading an article or watching a promo commercial probably would think they are the same person lol.

Definitely. I'm not trying to cause a controversy over nothing here, so I'm not saying he's better or bigger than his older brother.

But he just beat Conor McGregor, who, like it or not, is the face of the UFC now. Fuck, he'll be on Conan O'Brien. He's way more popular now. Being popular is not necessarily a good thing, but yeah, he is.

Nate has much more mainstream appeal right now than Nick ever did. Only a couple of casual MMA fans i know talked about Nick, alot have been talking about Nate recently.

I'm a huge fan of both, but not sure how taking punches and clowning makes you a better fighter.

Not only do I think Nate is more popular

But I even think Nate has a better resume than Nick diaz

And I am serious.

If you look at the competition level of Nate Vs Nick, Imo Nick clearly...

Nick was fairly competitive against both GSP and silva... Nate lost 5 rounds to Bendo in a fight that was pretty much a joke, his best wins are Conor and MJ

GSP dominated Nick.
