As a kid I always thought he was picture perfect when he executes his moves.

I guess nostalgia is blinding me or giving false information.

What's your thoughts on Mr. Perfect?

Dude was solid and had a great heel persona. Doesn't get enough credit.

His IC match with Bret at SS helped launch Hitmans solo career.

Also read somewhere he had a hand in training Brock.

He's a guy who could have done so much more.

When I was a kid, we though the Perfect Plex was impossible to kick out of, at school hahahaha

He should have been a mainstay having A+ matches with all the other top workers all the time.

Nah', he was one of the best in the ring. They ain't calling just anybody "Mr. Perfect". You gotta back that shit up somewhat. Shit, even as an announcer, he never missed that pencil flip he did.
There was a funny thing that happened when he was feuding with Sean Michaels. They show Mr Perfect spit out his gum and slap it away when he was in the ring, and they cut to a clip of Sean Michaels talking about their feud and he was chewing on gum as he always did in those old vignettes to be obnoxious. And I think Heenan said "did he just catch the gum in his mouth??"

lmao

there's no way anyone today would say that

Mr Perfect and Ric Flair were such a great and underrated pairing. I wish they coulda lasted longer with that. They were both gone almost at the same time.

And then when you had Heenan into the equation...

Heenan's commentary during the '92 Rumble was the greatest Heel commentary performance of all time. You wanted Flair to win just to see Heenan go ballistic.

He helped launch the era of the smaller technical guy, but didn't or couldn't stick around to enjoy it.

Had he stayed healthy and in WWF he could've had some great matches.

Crazy that guys like Henning ... Scott Hall , never got a Major World Title.

Just rewatched this a few days ago , Warrior gets fired for being all fucked up as usual so Macho man is in need of the perfect tag team partner,
Man my childhood was awesome

Mr. Perfect was great, and probably should have won the WWF title at some point. His AWA run, and his tag team with Scott Hall, are underrated.

He was obviously great in AWA and his run as Mr. Perfect, but Hennig's run in WCW in the late 90's was gold and doesn't get talked about much.

His turn on the Horsemen, him and Rick Rude's pairing, the West Texas Rednecks, such a good run.

Very good but if I'm comparing him to elite mat wrestlers like Bret or Danielson I think he's a little bit behind them.

I think fans tend to look at that through a modern lens. Why didn't Dibiase, Jake, Rude, Hall, Piper, etc have a run with the world title? Back then, there were only a few belts, and they didn't change hands often. If anything, the best workers usually got the IC strap. Mach, Perfect, Bret, Shawn, Razor, Owen, etc.

I think in Hall's case, he just wasn't trustworthy. Pretty tall order, considering Ric Flair was trustworthy, LOL.

I rememer this night very well. I think Ramon was either debuting or had just got there at the time.

Flair actually was though. He always took his ringcraft very seriously, and it's crazy to think that he was 40 when he won the '92 rumble.

Flair's just a guy who doesnt do well in retirement.
