Reason I am asking is because Dana said that the reason Yoel was cut because he lost the last 4 out of 5.

Perry has lost the last 6 out of 9

Perry was still willing to brawl and made offerings to the just bleed God even in defeat.

Yoel was tentative and was boo'ed for inaction in his last fight and also probably costs a lot more than perry to book hence the cut.

To be fair though Yoel had 3 fight of the nights in his last 4 before that though. That’s more than Perry has had in his entire 14 UFC fight career.

Possibly. Is there really that much attention or hype on Perry now? I'm pretty sure everyone knows now he's not an elite guy.

Edit: Clarification. Perry was never elite.

Remember when he had all the hype in the world on Sherdog? Lol, everyone thought he was gonna be the next Conor. What an epic fall from grace! So many of you got tooled.o_O

Unless he has another ridiculous public outburst soon, he should be in the clear.

No, Yoel is a danger to prospects, he destroys them. Perry is a blessing for upcoming fighters, so the UFC keeps paying him 2k to show
Who was the last prospect Homero destoryed? I'm pretty sure he lost to Paulo "Hypejob" Costa

I'm still mad he never won the belt, not even a fake one like Colby or Tony

The laugh to dollar ratio is probably so fucking cheap for Dana. There's no way Perry gets more than 50k to show.

2 boring fights in a row, that's more than Perry has had in his whole career.

That is the point. He fought the best for years and won't get a title shot again. So usually, guys like that get to be a high level gatekeeper. Problem with Romero is that he will beat most of the new guys, he is not an interesting gatekeeper for the UFC. He is expensive and will destroy the market value and hype of most guys the UFC pushes. They can use Weidman and Gastelum for that role.
