Is Mike Perry on the chopping block?

Yoel is an expensive veteran who just lobbed a stinker, and then turned down a fight with Brunson and one other guy. That was the reason he was cut.

Hopefully

He's a racist, woman-beating piece of shit that will end up like Benoit in a few years.

No. Dana made it clear he likes him.

Nah

I don't hope or wish death on people, but again, he has no one that will be straight up with him and realize the gravity to what he has done, so there's no room for self-relfection what so ever.

I truly believe he'll end up getting hurt or worse by someone he has a confrontation with.

Remember when he had all the hype in the world on Sherdog? Lol, everyone thought he was gonna be the next Conor. What an epic fall from grace! So many of you got tooled.o_O
No one believed that. You must think people also though Artem was the Goat? lol

People did that for the trolling. I guess no one told you lol

1 fight ago, yoel was the most feared MW in the division. Dana knows he’s trying to downplay romero’s record because romero is signing with bellator or somewhere else. Romero honestly could wreck anyone on a given night, but now that he’s not UFC, he is trash, washed up.

How is this the point? I never understood this narrative, he isn't boring like fitch to kill contenders off.

Again, he hasn't killed off any prospect yet, the last prospect he fought was Costa and he lost and we all know how Costa title aspirations went.

He is also pretty old so he will decline sooner than later which should not be a problem
I don't understand that last part. Hear it a lot, but why would age matter. UFC can cut a guy at any point anyway.

Till now, he has fought the elite and established guys for many years. Its like saying Holloway or Conor hasn't beat a prospect for years (I don't compare them quality wise). Thats cause they are top 5 guys who fight top 5 guys. Now that he is no longer in contention, the next step is to fight prospects. I felt the ufc would find Romero too expensive and too dangerous. Also, the MW division has others to be a gatekeeper.

To be fair, I heard on mma junky the reason he left was that the UFC did not offer him the fights he felt he should get. I guess I was wrong :)

I think Perry is definitely skating on thin ice.

I think he MIGHT survive at the moment.
But....if was IS cut it wouldn't really surprise me too much.
He really needs to dedicate himself to training and fighting, and say "yes" every single time the UFC calls with an offer, and stop spending money on stupid frivolous things, and GET BETTER at being an MMA fighter.

He has been far too distracted the last year with his new girfriend Latory. Time to get serious about training, every day, consistently, and get a PROPER trainer, and proper staff not just buddies you do a bit of sparring with.

What 2 boring fights in a row? Only boring fight I recall him being is the Izzy fight.
Damn. That fight was so fucking boring I thought they fought twice.

If Dana kept Yoel around he would simply break all his new affordable toys (emerging prospects).

Romero was cut because he refused to fight anyone that wasn't going to lead to a title shot. Mike Perry is a cheaper middle of the road guy who fights anyone.
I agree. They keep him despite his horrible behavior outside the cage snd his sub-par performances in the cage - because he's cheap, takes on any fight, and has a distinctive look. On a side note (or more importantly) he needs to get his life together before he hurts himself or others irreparably.

When I said age I was refering he might decline soon so the whole thing about beating prospects might not happen at all

I feel they should have went the Glover route with him, give him a couple of unraked/top 15 guys to keep him busy for a while, also at the end of the day the UFC are the ones that make the fights so they can easily push a guy to tittle contention without fighting Homero like Till or Adesanya.

Yeah that makes more sense to me, at the end of the day I also think money have a lot to do with it

Reason I am asking is because Dana said that the reason Yoel was cut because he lost the last 4 out of 5.

Perry has lost the last 6 out of 9
Contenders and elite fighters cost more money...dont you know thats the BIGGEST criteria for Baldie McBitch to cut people.

Perry is a bum and is chump change compared.

Weird. You didn't used to think it was trolling.o_O
Im torn. While I think people should be fans of Mike Perry, they are trying way too fuckin hard.
