Is Megan Anderson overrated?

She's no 10 but dat booty and tattoos on a pale aussie makes her so hot.

GSP enters the UFC at 5-0 as a champion. Spencer entered at 6-0 as a champion.

Now GSP did not fight the number 3 fighter in the world in his debut. And, managed a decision over Karo. Felicia however did face the number 3 fighter in her division and waxed her ass in less than 1 round.

So, can I ask. Instead of ppl dumping on Megan. Can we get some love for Fee? She’s doing just as good as GSP did, and will likely be getting a title fight just as early as he did.

Why always the disparaging remarks towards one, while never giving props to the other? Before the fight a majority of you said Megan was going to knock this fat Canadian clown out. After the fight those same ppl said Megan was a can.

Ppl here are generally so focused on hating on one thing. That they can’t give the slightest bit of love to the other.

she isn't overrated, she just has to work on her grappling apparently, she's an unfinished product as most martial artists are in some way, shape or form. she'll be back better than before I'm sure.

I mean probably. She has decent striking and absolutely no ground game. Even for wmma that's a below average skillset.

So you shouldn't be a fighter because you got dominated by a much more experience former champ? (who despite her loss to Tate is obviously not clueless when it comes to grappling) Clearly a much more experienced fighter like Holm should have been expected to beat Anderson. If anything the Cat win was the fluke.

Anderson has obvious physical gifts which probably contributed to much of her success but she is still green skill wise. Maybe she shouldn't be in the UFC (ok definitely) but that's a hell of a blank canvas to throw in the dumpster.
 
Overrated yes. Disappointing that she hasn't been able to skill up to take advantage of her physique and its potential. Find her kind of sexy, and she can surely beat CM Punk. So she has a place in WMMA.
 
She could probably kickbox with any woman on the roster, even though Nunes and Cyborg would put her away.

She looks helpless on the ground and even when she’s physically stronger than her opponents she gets bullied in the grappling department. She should focus on her grappling game.

Getting dummied by Spencer, who's a black belt with a lot of experience fighting larger women, is not embarrassing.

The issue is how lost she looked against Holm who, despite being around grapplers for her entire adult life, is not a high-level grappler.

Anderson looked totally clueless about the basic points of TDD and positional defense on her back.

The Zingano win was flukish, but she would have beaten Cat standing. Anderson's striking is legit for WMMA. It took one exchange for her to turn Holm into a wrestler.

That doesn't mean anything. Amanda had well over 10 fights to Cat's 8 when they first fought. You don't want to like Cat, then that's perfectly fine but to say she is overrated is wrong.
 
People thought she would be a potential OPPONENT for Cyborg, given her size and the fact that there were no other legit 145lbers around.

Nobody thought she would actually beat Cyborg.

Yh but she's barely evolved and she's slow and awkward. It's very unfortunate what she went through in her personal life but I feel like she gets too much credit for that win against Nunes. She was basically getting battered by a pre-ATT, green version of Nunes and only won after Nunes foolishly punched herself. She was inches from being KO'd by a sloppy Nunes. Today's Nunes would beat her almost identical to how she beat Ronda in 48 seconds.
 
About as overrated as Kevin Lee.

Not sure what the hell people are seeing calling her attractive too. Her ass is ight, das it.

She's past her prime at this point. She's not going to get better at this stage in her career.

The point is that she was absolutely one of the top female fighters in the world and then her husband committed suicide fucking her up.
