Is judging by looks and physiognomy valid?

There's probably correlations between high T which helps for fighting and certain physical features, like thick brow etc, but I think technique and endurance are key in MMA, not strength and testosterone, especially now
 
I think it's probablistic but not deterministic. There's guys that have square jaws and big chins that can't take a punch. Dan Hooker doesn't look like he can take a punch....but, he can take a punch....lots of them.
 
Yes, it's pretty accurate. It's more about distinguishing whether someone has the potential to be a fighter or not. People with small heads, small jaws/chins, big noses, etc. cannot take a punch as well as someone with the opposite features. They will quickly give up on MMA if they try it.

hand size too, you need big hands to be a knockout artist, even torso shape, the bigger the upper body with a smaller waist circumference is the best shape.
