I have a feeling it very much is so. Look at all elite Olympic athletes: all have pleasant features and good looks. All great UFC champions are good looking. It’s almost like you can see it in someone’s face if they will win the fight. Or maybe I’m taking my betting theories too far.

yes, but it mostly relates to the face

ed dutton has a book on the science of the physiognomy check

at 7:29 he shows a study that looked at masculine faces, showing fighters as examples

As next theory make hypothesis about hairlines affecting performance, and also long time health effects on height cutting

There are certain attributes which may be indicators.

jaw/chin can be a decent indicator of ability to take a shot. Wide “American dad” type jawline often yields a “granite chin”

wrestler tend to have very strong and developed back muscles

boxers often have big “ball shaped” shoulder muscles

5xl gloves means you were probably on HGH

When physiognomy comes to mind, I mainly think 19th century quacks making unverifiable claims based on cultural stereotypes. However, the Wikipedia article mentions more modern research with facial recognition software suggests a positive correlation between face-width and aggression levels. I thought that was an interesting claim, and something that might be relevant to analysis in this thread. Do ufc fighters with broader faces demonstrate higher aggression levels? hrm..
