What are you talking about? No, Jones is 37 yo and has accomplished everything possible in the sport. Beating Aspinall doesn’t add much to his legacy.
GSP, on the other hand, was 32 yo, and walked away from the entire sport instead of fighting an aging Anderson Silva for double champ status.
Jones did not move up and fight an aging Francis, DC, Stipe for double champ status?
He moved up years later to take on one of the easiest champs in a decade. Exact same as GSP.
The only things he accomplished that GSP has not is being disqualified from a fight, having his titles stripped multiple times and having a single title defense of the second belt against a fighter who had zero current wins in the division.
You can say that GSP ducked Whittaker or even the Hendricks rematch but if he did so he did it quickly, respectfully and honestly. Both times dropping the title within a month to let the division move on.
